Spencer is 6 months and keeps rolling back-to-front. The problem is that he has forgotten (or refuses?) to right himself even though he's been able to do from 4 months.
When I put him down on his back he'll lie there for about 5 mins and then roll over to his tummy. He's happy like that for a fews mins and then he'll cry, if I leave him he'll cry LOUDER, if I still leave he'll SCREAM! This doesn't only happen during playtime, he also does it before every nap and sometimes at night too. If I roll him back he immediately flips over again.

It makes me so cross (I know it shouldn't) because he's the one who keeps putting himself in the position and I know he's capable of getting himself out of it.

Is there something I can do to stop him from rolling? or Has anyone found a way to combat this problem?

    Thanks ladies x

There are wee sleep positioners that you can get but from what I can remember they only do up to 6 months. They are like a roll of cloth & what looks like a rolled up towel on each side & you place the baby in between these

One of my boys did exactly the same, he could but blatently refused to roll back over, it also drove me insane esp when he did it at night. You can get pillows that stop them from rolling over but they have been linked to cot death so i decided against it. There is light at the end of the tunnel when my lo was about 7 months he started rolling back over. its funny, but until i read your post i had forgotten all about it, even tho at the time it consumed me lol good luck

Maddie has done exactly the same - could roll from tummy to back really easily and for some time and just after Xmas rolled form back to tummy but now wont or can't roll back and just screams when she is fed up.
So far she does not do it at night thank god.
I tried leaving her to see if she would roll back but she just screams louder, it's so weird isn't it.
