    Hi

I have been looking to purchase a cot for sometime now and really like some of the ones available from ikea (and the low price is a bonus too). The only thing is I don't know anyone who has bought one. Do any of you ladies own an Ikea cot? If so are they any good?

    Thanks

We haven't got it now as Millie is in a bed but she had an Ikea cot and it was brilliant. Great value for money, still looked nice when she grew out of it, and the other furniture that matched it is still going strong in her bedroom. Only reason we didn't get one for Barney was we saw a ridiculously cheap one in the same in M&P's, other than that we would definitely have bought another Ikea one.

we have the white one and it's lovely, really simple no complaints and saved a fortune!

Our mentality was that Peap would not know if she had ??1000 spent on bedroom furniture from M&P's or mothercare, or the ??180 we spent in Ikea on a cot, white drawers and wardrobe that will last her unil she is older.

By the way, we called our daughter Isabelle, Peap is just her nickname!

My friend had an Ikea cot and was really pleased with it. When she went to get a new mattress for it when expecting number 2, she found they'd changed their cot sizes to standard sizes, so she couldn't get a mattress to fit any more - so they told her to bring the old cot in and they'd swap it for a new one! I think that's fab service, anywhere else would've said it was tough and she'd have to buy a new cot!

Not sure why we didn't have an Ikea one, I wanted white and think I maybe just didn't like their white one, but I've heard good things about them.

I've got one. lo is perfectly happy in it and has been for months.

It's also not too big, smaller than a cot bed so we easily fitted it in our room when he was too big for crib but not big enough to go in his own room. S x

I have an ikea cot as well. It a white one that turns into a bed too. I really like it. It's not too big and fits perfectly in the nursery

My first choice was from John Lewis but when I saw the price of the Ikea one I had to buy it. Got matching shelves, drawers and the best matteress and still had change left compared to the price of the John Lewis one
