Hello, I am a really feeling low at the moment...let me explain..............
I have a little boy who will be 1 on 6th Sept and he still doesn't move!! He is just happy sitting, I put toys out of reach and he will lean forward to get them and if I put them further away he will pull himself forwards onto all fours then drop onto his tummy and just roll onto his back and is quite happy just laying there!!!! He doesn't try to pull himself up at all and he cannot move from laying to sitting. He will stand and hold onto the sofa etc if I stand him up and put him there and he will walk if I hold his hands, but dosen't cruise on funiture on anything.
I realise that all children are different and to be honest I was happy as long as he was and he is, but that has changed in the last few days as I have found out the I am pregnant again!!! I'm only five weeks gone and it wasn't planned, but I am coming round to the idea.............However my son will only be 19 months when baby arrives......what if he is still not on the move by then?? I have read that some babies aren't bothered about moving about till about 22 months........How will I cope!!
I have tried everything to try and get him interested in things further away (without being too pushy about it, as I want him to be happy) but he seems to just look at things and think thats not within my reach and looses interest.
Any tips or advice would be most welcome and thanks for listening x

He'll move when he's ready. My eldest wasn't moving till late 10 months, then he bumshuffled. He walked at 18 months, two months after his sister was born.My 6th didn't crawl till that sort of time, she was a roller. She's now nearly 17 months and not walking. My 7th is two and a half months,We've just got used to having two not walking. My number 5 wasn't walking when 6 got here either. It sometimes happens with a close age gap, especially if you have a latewalker.
I'm sure your little one will move soon enough, then it'll be stairgates and moving stuff and eyes in the back of your head.As long as he's happy I'd let him do it himself.
Congratulations on the pregnancy

My son didnt even do that, he just sat, wouldnt lean for a toy would rather sit bored lol! He crawled at 12mnths and walked 3weeks after he was one, He was 16mnths when baby no2 arrived and his walking was compentant enough to make life easy, still had to be carried on the stairs until a month or two ago, hell be fine, and so will you, i paniced badly when i fell pregnant with lola and we are all fine and still are, her arrival hasnt affected jack at all he adores her, youll find a way to get on even if little one doesnt move honestly!
Oh and dd is 8mnths and going no where, cant complain as when jack crawled it was hard work!
