With this I feel abit like I'm moaning because my son is great at going to sleep. He goes to bed perfectly on his own at 7-7.30pm every night without fail. The thing is he still wakes up through the night at 4.30-5 and has about 3ozs. But i'd love it if he could just go straight through now.
Any advice PLEASE

hi hun i'm zoe and i've got a little boy charlie whos now 2 but when he turned 10 months old he started waking through the night and he's only started sleeping back through properly from nov just gone so dont worry you not the only one,
have you tried leaving a non spill cup/bottle filled with milk in the corner of his bed or cot so when he wakes up he can reach for it and drink what he wants then settle himself
maybe give him a bit more at teatime to make him last through the night
or have you tried watering down his milk so eventually he'll take himself off that feed at night?
or just try settling him back to sleep without giving him a feed at that time. it will be hard work for a couple of nights but so worth it in the end
charlie was waking out of habit for a feed in the night and we did both the watering down his milk and settling him without a feed and it worked in the end
hope this helps,
take care zoe x x

cant offer advice, but just wanted to say your not alone, my dd is 15mnths and ds is 31 mnths and they both wake for milk, sometimes 2-3 times a week, then ages they dont! Usually its followed by a big growth spurt or a sudden new talent ie.walking!
hope things settle soon

hi, my little girl done the same i found when i added a extra feed/ snack through the day & also she would fall asleep on her bedtime bottle so i tried to make sure she was more alert for that 1 then i knew she had enough to get her through the night.
she still woke up at 5am but i just went in & resettled her in the same way when she was settling at night & came out if the room. i did take a few days but we got there in the end.
