    hi ladies

tyler is 4 weeks old and needs to be constantly held, if you put him down after about 30 mins he starts screaming. have tried leaving it a short while to see if he will settle but no. we have to take it in turns to eat etc.

    anyone have any ideas ?

you could get a sling so you have your hands free and no strain on your back?

both my two are and were like this, my ds always wanting cuddles, if I laid him down he would cry so I sat him up next to with me or in the buggy or with my daughter in a swing, if all your child needs are met let them cry for five minutes if you don't eat they you give your all, x hope it get better it will stop soon

I would say either get a sling or let them cry, but with you going in and talking to him, touching him etc so he's reassured youre still there. My lo did the same around the same age and sometimes I just had to leave her, a girls gotta eat and pee after all !! LOL

Anyway leaving them to cry wont hurt them, as long as there is no other obvious reason and will teach them that mummy does come back but they cant just demand your cuddles as and when they want.

i had a sling when lo was that age as your lo is still very young and stil feels part of you i would still give them cuddles (dont 4get they have spent 9months snuggled in your belly) the sling enabled me to do things and kept lo very happy. I now have a very independent 11month old so lots of cuddles didnt make him demand lots
