(Don't fancy getting one of those metal bar play pens for her.)
Anyway does anyone have one they would recommend? Could you say why?
Also I'd like to know if people bought a matress for the travel cot or not?

I have two.
Graco Contour Electra. We bought it when Matilda was newborn as a safe place for a new baby in a house of mad children. It has a basinetpart at the top for tinies and a changing mat over the top.All that's useful for a new born, but I would think a waste of money for an older baby.
We also have a Mamas and Papas one.Just a straightforward travel cot.We don't have an extra matress for either, both have a reasonably comfy one.

i got mine for £25 from tesco and its perfect. i wuldnt let my son sleep in it every night but he used it for a while for playing in while he was younger.
i couldnt bring myself to spend much more than that on a travel cot.
it folds away easily, the mesh is fine etc.
my mum bought a colourful one not sure the make maybe graco and its got a comfier matress for longer sleeping arrangements.
for playing in youll be fine with an asda or tesco one i recon

I agree - I'm not going to be letting her sleep in it - just small naps etc.
I think your comments have been useful for when I go out shopping for it tomorrow!
Many thanks. X
