    Hey Girls!

I was just wondering if any of you actually lost weight after having your baby... I mean I just assumed you physically would lose the weight of the child, placenta & water.. but never actually weighted myself before giving birth so don't know how much I was... or after so don't I don't know if there was an diffrence.

I asked my mum and said she lost nothing after having me, said the midwife laughted at her when she asked about it saying something to the effect that everyone assumes they will but no one actually does.. my mum was really surprised!

 & cause I didn't check before having Charlie/after I don't actually know either!? I just assumed surely you must be a bit lighter as the baby is like half a stone or more... at least!! lol

did any of you girls notice a diffrence? & what was the weight of your baby?

lol see if we can get a proper conclusion!?? x

Put on about 2 stone when pregnant with DS, lost a stone and a half of it within 3 days of having him (he was 9lb then there was all the other bits and bobs!!) and the rest within 6 weeks. With DD I put on just over 2 stone, again lost a stone and a half within a week the rest within a couple of months. I reckon you go back to looking about 5/6 month pg once bubba's out!

with baby no.1 i was 9 stone when i fell pregnant, 9 stone 2 the week before i had him, and 8 stone 2 days after i had him, he weighed 4lbs 11 oz (4 weeks prem)

baby no 2, i was 11 stone 6 when i found out i was pregnant (very overweight for my height) i didnt weigh myself during the pregnancy but i was 10 stone a week after i had him. He weighed 7lbs 6oz (2 weeks prem)

baby no.3, i was 10 stone when i fell pregnant, 10 stone 6 just before i had her, and she's 9 weeks now and i weigh just under 9 stone. She weighed 5lbs 8oz (4 weeks prem)
I would just like to point out that pregnancy makes me very ill, i'm not dieting or trying to lose weight whilst pregnant! I'm only 4'11 so should only be around 8 stone, so i can afford to lose the weight really xx

wow i feel bad now, i was 9stone at my booking in appointment around 6 weeks and weighed roughly around 13 stone when i had him, i managed to put on around 4 stone as i had the most insatiable appetite the WHOLE way through and was lucky enough not to have any sickness. My son weighed 7lb 8oz and about 2/3 days later had lost around a stone and a half. Am having to work hard to get rid of the rest though have been going to the gym and now weigh around 10.5 stone although am back in size 10/12 was an 8/10 before!!! MY aim is to be slightly tonned and back to normal by christmas!! xxsam xx

When I had Ashton I put on a stone and a half and lost just about all of it within 2 weeks of having him. This time round I am 6 months pregnant at the moment and so far I am a pound lighter than I was when I fell pregnant. Don't know how though as I have a huge bump! xxxx

with my first I went from 7st 10 to 11st 10.4 stone!!!!!!!!!!! She was 7lbs and i weighed myself in hospital ( how vain is that??) when she was 4 days old and I was 9st. Within 4 weeks I was 7 and a half stone and had to make myself put weight on as I looked awful. I was soon up to 8 and stayed till my 2nd... put on just 3 stone and only lost 1 after delivery. Lost a bit but only ever got back to about 10 stone. Dont even go there with 3rd 4th or 5th..Put it this way I am about 11 and a half stone and dont see me ever getting back to my slim ways...more so that I am 40 tomorrow!!!!!!!! gah!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I put on almost 3 stone when i was pregnant. Went from 8stone 2lbs to 10st 12 the day before i gave birth. Weighed myself when ui got home from hospital and was 10lbs 6oz (which is funny cos ava weighed 6lb 3oz so it didnt even seem that i lost the weight of her)

My weight then hovered around 9stone after the first month and dropped to 7st 12 by the time she was about 4 months old. The funny thing is i ate loads and did NO exercise.
I purposefully wanted to put on a bit of weight and am now a happy 8stone 3 and my daughter is 10months. Tummy is flat and stretchmark free but not as toned as it used to be so starting a hula hooping class next week. Wish me luck xxx
