a few months back there was a post about which milk people find best and it got tonnes and tonnes of replies. i found the general consensus was that cow and gate is the best one, a lot of people preffered this, and a lot of people said SMA made their little ones constipated. obviously there were exceptions to this and every LO has different tolerances and digestive systems though! from this i began using cow and gate and my LO has no problems with it and really enjoys it, she is thriving on it. but like a lot of things i guess it's trial and error, also your budget matters as i think the milk prices range from about ??5 a tin to ??8! xx

My 3 have all had Cow &Gate premium when i stopped bf and have had no probs with the milk. It can be used to complement bf too. It's about mid price range. As he's 10 month he could have a follow on milk but i never bothered switching, just went to cow's milk at 1 year old.
    Happy choosing!

hi my lo is formula fed on aptamil my midwife and hv recommended it as it's suppose to be the closest to breast milk as you can get, he's 11 1/2 months old now and is having a mixture of aptamil follow on milk (it has added iron) and full fat cows milk.

Hi my two have both had cow&gate and been very happy on it and will be giving this one it too. Then straight to cows milk at 12 months and all was well, cow&gate isnt badly priced to i think i pay about ??6.28 for it in most supermarkets.
