That's very late.

Oops sorry pressed send to soon
...NHS guidance says it should ideally be before 10 weeks so they should do all they can to accommodate you. Could you give the antenatal clinic call directly and tell them your concerns? It's a sad fact that some ladies won't be attending their appointment due to an early miscarriage, so I would have thought that appointments are cancelled daily. Perhaps you could call every few days to see if an earlier appointment has come up?

Sorry for late reply Elvi i have just had midwife call me and i am booked in for 1st appointment this Wednesday so panic over and she seems very nice 😀
Hows everyone doing i am really struggling with all day sickness have seen gp this morning and been signed off work for a week and given some cyclizine but frightened to take them, does anyone else take them and do they help its more nausea than being sick?
I am around 7 weeks Xx

Hi nursejo, I had quite a bit of nausea for 3 weeks or so, only once sick. I didn't take anything as found that eating little and often helped. There are foods that make me gag so I just avoid these.
I am 9w3d and the nausea is barely there, only if I get hungry.
I thought that they only give you meds if you were physically sick several times a day. But if nausea is really bad maybe give the tablets a go and see if they help?

Hi Catkatze i was surprised they gave me tablets i think i will wait and see what midwife says on wednesday. I find driving worse so just ordered some travel sick bands glad to hear yours has eased off i hope mine does in the next couple of weeks

That's great Nursejo, glad it worked out. I've only recently self referred myself but I'm only 6wks 3days. Gosh, still so early!
I think my symptoms are worse this time around. With my son I only have the very occasional wave of nausea and other than constipation I think I felt pretty normal. This time i constantly feel under the weather and constant nausea although very mild compared to you other ladies who have been suffering with it.
Would anyone have their hair coloured within first 12 weeks? I can't find clear guidance online. A lot of the information seems to be opinions and themedical advice I have found seems to indicate that there is no evidence colouring hair is harmful to baby.

Hi Levi I coloured my hair but it was highlights so it didn't touch my skin just the hair. I don't think there's any issue with colouring you're hair

Hello ladies, my name is Suzanne and I’m 10wks pregnant with my 2nd baby, due 3/4th May 2018 and my daughter will be 16 by the time the baby is born. I was wondering if there are any ladies out there who have a big age gap between pregnancies and how you ended up telling the 1st child they were going have a brother or sister. My daughter has always said she loves being an only child so I’m trying to think of how to break it to her gently lol.

Hiya Suzj, congratulations on your pregnancy and welcome! Do you think your daughter might surprise you, and love the idea of being a big sister?
05/10/2017 at 14:41
Hi DanielleMFM, thank you for replying. I hope so. She has 4 nieces all under 11 the youngest 2 and she always says how much they get on her nerves lol. But she loves them really. I’m hoping she will be ok or at least get used to the idea before the baby arrives. I have my scan booked for 20th Oct so I think I may wait and show her the scan picture, then she will be able to see for herself whats happening in my tummy 😊

Hi, just wondered if anyone could help me. I’m 8 weeks and I’m already finding my trousers very tight to the point of wanting to go up a size. Is this normal so early on?
06/10/2017 at 16:59
I was the same. I have been in maternity trousers or leggings for comfort since week 8 and may have been earlier had I not been on holiday and in baggy dresses. Midwife checked me over and I am not further along and she basically said either I am either going to be big all the way through, slow down and sort of let other catch up size wise or there is more than one hiding in there atm. So just having to wait until the 19th till the scan to find out if it's the later.
Hope this sets your mind at ease a little.

The Nausea is still going strong for me and been signed off work for another week, it seems to have got worse the past couple of days so have had a cyclizine tablet which takes the edge off. I am 7w 3d (or by midwifes dates 8w today) i am hoping it starts easing a little real soon as its making me feel miserable :(
Hows everyone else getting on i hope you are all doing better than me Xx

Thanks for your reply Lorato good to know it’s not just me. Thought it was way too early to be needing bigger trousers, knowing my luck I will end up huge. Keep us posted if you’ve got another one hiding!!
Sorry to hear you are suffering so bad with sickness NurseJo. I am suffering really bad with constipiation at the moment to the point I may need to go the doctors about it.
Hope everyone else is doing ok x
