Due 18th September 😍

Mammabear that's so clear! And so cute!
I'm waiting for a surprise - we have a name picked out for each, but I just love newborns in white so it won't make a difference to us either way.
I thought NHS hospitals weren't allowed to tell you the gender anymore? Or maybe it's a Scotland thing?

I thought you could find out at 20w scan? I did read somewhere that it's hospital specific I am sure.
So I am in a bit of a pickle ladies, I am not sure if you remember afew weeks back I said I had my review and was going to be offered a different roll and pay rise....well I finally got my review today as was delayed because of the snow etc last week. They basically do not have a concrete offer or role for me yet and could take afew weeks to finalise....My scan is on Wednesday and really want to tell everyone after my scan but I am so worried because it may jeopardise my new role/payrise. I am really unsure what to do as I can't hide this pregnancy much longer 😫
Also, Happy International Woman's day you lovely ladies 💃🏼

Lovely scan pictures ladies!!! How many of you are going to find out the sex of baby? We have decided we are going to wait! Ha ha bet I regret that!!
How many of you are going to be first time mummy’s?
im currently 14+2 and thought taht actually I was just fat rather than anything else. I mean I’m normally a size 14 so I’m not a small one anyway.. but I thought this looked like ft rather than baby? Although I can’t ‘suck it in’ anymore 🙈 ha ha. What do you think?
I won’t be offended if you think it’s just fat!! Ha ha 😂😂 xxz

Charleemay I'm the same, sometimes I think it looks like fat and sometimes a bump. What makes me think it's a bump is that it's a different shape to what my tummy normally is, and is hard and can't be sucked in like you say.
I reckon it's the beginning of a nice bump you have there! What does your OH think? They're usually the first to notice the little changes :)

Dogmum you might be correct, it's just our local hospitals have signs up saying policy is not to tell so don't ask - I assumed it must be an everywhere policy 😂
08/03/2018 at 19:17
MrsB yer thats what makes me think its a bump as it’s hard - most of it. He thinks I’m showing so maybe I am!! What about yours? It’s hard to tell!
Im going to be a first time mummy so my grandma took me out last weekend so I had some maternity clothes! Told her I wouldnt need them yet! Ha ha maybe I’ll need them sooner rather than later!! 🙈 just feel silly as im only 14 weeks!! 🙈😂

They tell you here in Scotland but you have to ask. They do tell you that the can’t be 100% though.
i have found out with all 3 of my girls and glad I did because I’m like to be prepared and always have names picked.
its £35 here for gender scan for 15 minutes. You can have one from 16 weeks. I’ll be 16 + 1 when I find out and so nervous. We are expecting another girl so if they tell us it’s a boy then I think they might need to tell us more than once lol.
picking our girl name was so hard this time as my girls names are unusual or unusual spelling. Boys name we have had for 7 years xx

At the hospital here when I had my son they asked me at my 20 weeks scan if we would like to find out then she said you can definitely tell what that is as you saw his willy on the screen 😂 the Scan is free we just pay £5for the photos with this one the first scan the pictures are free xxx

That's so weird Michelle. I'm with Forth Valley and they honestly have signs up everywhere saying they won't tell you! But as I said I'm keeping it a surprise anyway :)
I'm nervous about my boys name - we've always loved Henry and it's all we can agree on, but I can just see that being the royal babys name and there being 100s of Henry's (also wouldn't want people to think that's why we chose it). The official top names list for 2017 us out soon so I'll be having a look - I don't mind if a name is on there, but interesting to see!

I have had my girls name picked out since I was little as it's after my Nana and luckily my man likes the name too. Boys name we are not able to agree on any at the moment 🙈
I am a little upset that the bubba and my partner will have the same last name and and won't. We planned on getting married this year, we want to just go off and do it very quietly as don't want the big fuss wedding. But now we are going to wait as we don't want people to think we are doing it because of the baby. I have never really wanted the whole engagment thing you see, always just wanted to go for it and just get married. I also would like to be able to go for a nice meal of my favourite, rare steak with a nice bottle of Frech Red wine on my wedding day so I 100% need to wait till after September now 😂
Mamabear our scans threw nhs are free and pictures are free. I’m heading to Glasgow for my scan which is 1 hour on train away as where I am they want £90-£120 for gender scan 🤦🏼♀️ Place in Glasgow takes £35.
Thats strange mrsb. Think sometimes depends who is scanning you aswell.
My girls just now are makenzi, kaila (cayla) and Jordanna 🙈 we have love jaxon for a boy 😍 harper for a girl 😍😍

Onlyeverbeenadogmum was the same when i was pregnant with my 2nd girl I got really emotional and cried constant I blamed the hormones 😂😂 we needed up planning our wedding in 9 weeks and I was 30 weeks pregnant with our 2nd daughter my dress hid my massive bump aswell 🙈 which I loved.
We had a pretty small wedding with just close friends and family. still havnt been on honeymoon ☀️
We are now 6 years married 👰 🤵
my 1st girls name is my maiden name just spelt different as I wanted to carry on the family name somehow so she had to have daddies name lol xx
08/03/2018 at 22:23
I am going to just blame the hormones then 😂 I am sure by next year we will all share the same name. If we have a girl it will be Tilly and no changing on that one 😊 We have always loved the name Lochlan for a boy ever since we spoke about kids a good few years ago but I stupidly let slip to the guys at work that was struggling for a name for his wee boy last year that I loved that name and guess what he called him 😳 Won't make that mistake again....
You look beautiful on your wedding day Michelle x
08/03/2018 at 22:50
Beautiful wedding photo!!! Names are tricky but we have decided on our 2 names.... Edith Marion for a girl agter our grandparents and Arthur Lee for a boy- we are both history geeks 🤓 ha ha!! it took us a while to decide the boys name as we had decided the girls name when we spoke about children!!
08/03/2018 at 23:02
Charleemay I love 'old fashioned' names too. We've decided on family names for middle names. For a girl it's Evelyn Rosemarie and a boy it's Henry Howard - after his grandmom and my grampa.
Im not really sure how family will take to our choices so keeping it all hush until baby is here!
08/03/2018 at 23:14
Awww MrsB that’s lovely!!!! Yer out boy middle name is my dad and the girls we couldn’t decide on one of them so we had both! 🙈... we spoke to my parents about it and they love them!!
im sure Your family will love them
09/03/2018 at 06:32
Our nhs i had to pay £5 each for both my photo's. I only know one private place around here but it's only 5 min away. I like names that you don't hear often. For years i loved the name Seb then i met my other half and his son is called Seb so I've had to pick another name lol
09/03/2018 at 06:55
Middle names are hard. We picked family names for ours girls. Our family are never keen on our names but we don’t care as it’s not their child 🙈
we middke names for my others are
m : alex - Sandra (after papa/dad and her gran)
k: jorgi ( after my papa)
j : shannon- Linzie ( after my sister and his)
if a girl this time we have wendy for middle name after my sister and George for a boy after my papa :)
