My baby is 6 months old and has very rarely woken up crying for food or anything else, she always wakes up happy & smiling/singing etc, although when I do feed her she always took a full feed. Just lately when I offer her first bottle she is only taking a few ounces, she will only take a couple of spoons of cereal too. She isnt constipated or ill so any ideas why she isnt hungry when overnight is the longest she goes without food. Also, her sleeping habits have become a bit erratic lately too, when I put her to bed she likes to play & roll around in her cot, she is a very happy baby but I cant sleep train her as the experts dont offer any advice on babys who want to play etc, even when she is shattered she doesnt cry. Dont get me wrong, she does have her moments! I just want advice on how to sleep train a non crying baby.

oh bless her - a happy contented baby!
maybe try cutting back on day time naps to just 2 at regular times a short morning one - say half an hour to an hour then a longer afternoon nap for 2 hours (or vice versa). at 1st she may not be tired at these times but she will get a rest and sleep will come more easily if its at a regular time.
try lots of fresh air to make her tired and sleep well. or swimming!
try a bedtime routine so that she knows bedtime is sleep time. i don't know what time you put her to bed but maybe make it half an hour later and see if she's more ready to fall asleep?
our bedtime routine is simply bath-time then bedtime but some people do a wind-down time, stories, maybe a massage or cuddle, bath then bottle then bed.
perhaps create a nice cosy atmosphere in her room. is her room really light? - the late summer evenings have effected our older son but fortunatley there are black out blinds in the babies room.
Not sure what to say about the feeding - she's obviously happy and not hungry so it could be the heat or just that she's cutting back on her bottles because the solids are doing a good job of filling her up?
you are so lucky having such a happy baby!

ps - try posting this on the baby forum there may be some one who has had a similar problem that may be able to offer better advice than me!!!
