My little man is now 16mnths, and is very fond of his bedtime bottle, is it really necessary for him to move to a beaker as we brush his teeth after and he can drink from a normal cup without a lid at meal times and when playing has a beaker thats totally free flowing, my hv said its more important he still has milk, i just dont want to hold him back. As for a while he had a beaker for milk in the day but after being ill went back to bottle (this is only once a day at naps and isnt set routine its a few times a week depending on his mood and appetite) since he can drink from a cup should i just leave him...?
what has everyone else done, and what are the other little ones this age doing with there milk? xx

i felt really guilty that Tate still had his bottle beyond a year as i know the advice is to not have it after 12m. Tom threw his across the room at 9m and had a cup after that!
Tate STILL has a bottle now in the mornings when he wakes and asks for one before bed but more a habit than anything as he doesn't drink much at night but has a full 6oz every morning out of a bottle and he's three next month. I don't think it matters at all. theres far worse things he could be doing, he has lovely teeth the dentist has said so! (and he sucks his thumb!)
Luka also has at least two bottles a day, im in no rush with him either, he must be same age as Jack? he was born July 13th last year?
