Can hungry baby milk make your baby more constipated and windy than the regular type? I read somewere that it is made from a different protein that is harder to digest? Is that true?

Hi, someone on here told me that it might not be suitable for a windy baby as it's thicker and harder to digest so as Archie has wind and reflux I've not tried it.
How are you getting on with the wind etc ? S x

Yes, hungry baby is made from casein, (most formula is made from whey) casein forms a gel in the gut and can cause constipation and wind. The theory is that because the protein is harder (and therefore) slower to digest, your baby should take longer before becoming hungry again.

    Hi SuzMcH
Still struggling....the medium flow teets helped a little, we tried colief last night but it says you have to wait half an hour on the instructions for it to work in the milk before feeding....wasnt prepared enough and had to feed Meghan after 1o mins so it didn't work all that well. Going to try to introduce a bed time routine as I think she knows she is going to get picked up in the evening cus she is in the lounge in moses basket until we go to bed. In the night she is easier to settle and after 20 mins sitting up on my knee after feed the wind is still there but she manages to deal with it herself and fall asleep after an hour. How is Archie getting on?

Thanks tyger thats what I wanted to know...cheers.
