I think the milk can go back to colostrum in the 2nd tri. I'm still br' feeding my 11month old. 3months preg but I'm winding her down, so when she's one I hope to stop. At the moment she's still ok with the taste, will have to see 1 month on. You could just wait and see what your baby wants to do. x

Hi - you don't have to stop at all if you don't want to - I know a few people who have tandem fed a toddler and baby. Of course it is entirely up to you and I know some people don't want to carry on bf whilst pregnant for various reasons but it was just to say you can if you want to! x

Hi Lin & congrats, it's fine to carry on breastfeeding whilst pregnant. As hayls mentioned about the colostrum in the second trimester, apparantly it can taste strange and your lo may not like it.
I'm 6 weeks pregnant and have a 10 month old. I was sure I would carry on bf until he was 12 months but I now have awful morning sickness (all day), am exhausted and really struggling to eat so wondering if bf whilst eating so little is a good idea. I would feel really sad to stop now but feel so rubbish I may have to
Don't want to put you off though, you will probably be fine in which case carry on feeding your lo as long as you want.x
