I've seen a lot of questions about people leaking milk in pregnancy, and whether it's normal etc, and I am now getting paranoid. I'm due in 3 days and I really want to breastfeed, but I have never leaked so much as a drop! Does this mean something could be wrong, or will my milk still be there when it is needed? I've certainly noticed my boobs increasing in size and so on, but no milk. Is there anyone out there who had this and was fine with the feeding?

I NEVER leaked in my pregnancy and despite lo being 6 weeks early I breastfed exclusively till 6 months and now breast and weaned feed my lo who is now 8 months!

It's fine not to leak just one of those things - some do some don't!

Hi there, my baby boy is now 11 months old and I didnt leak at all at any stage in my pregnancy, I worried if it was normal too, but my midwife assured me it was and as soon as I started to feed, my milk would be there. Sure enough my son latched on within minutes of being delivered on to my tummy and infact I have always had loads of milk!! Hes still feeding now!!

    Hi
I would not worry at all about this.I never leaked a drop and I don't ever leak a drop now and I have been breastfeeding for 13 months.

Just make sure when you have your baby you have lots of skin to skin contact as that really helps your milk supply.

Thanks a lot for your replies ladies- that has made me feel a whole lot better! I guess I should be glad that I am saving money by not having to buy breast pads.
