    hi, anyone got any advice?

I'm trying to breastfeed but we've been having a lot of problems, and have started introducing formula as Milla was never satisfied and roared anytime she was off the breast. we went t a clnic at the hospital who showed us how to finger feed her so she doesn't get used yo sucjking on a bottle, snd while we were there they said she isn't swallowing properly so basically hasn't ben getting much milk at all which is why she's always hungry. anyone else's LO had this problem?

a seperate issue is I'min a lot of pain, currently bring treated for thrush (Milla as well) but no relief yet, but if it is thrush maybe her mouth is sore as well so that's not helping her feeding. she does get very fussy at the breast and mewls and pushes herself off. again - any one else has this?

so i'm expressing after each feed to use for the start of the next one, but can only get about 1oz max  so she gets 10 mins of breast to try to get her to suck, then my ebm, then formula, it's such a faff takes a long time. i just want her to be able to feed from the breast this is so depressing. she's 15 days old now and I'm terrified my milk supply is never going to improve.....

they tried the cup feeding with my baby but its a pain to be honest. I bf and feed him ebm with tommee tippee closer to nature bottles, he switches between breast and bottle with no fuss or problem, I'd try it to be honest. I gave breast then bottle then breast then bottle etc, so there was a constant reminder and learning and he is absolutely fine and very fat. good luck!

    Hi
I did this on a three hour schedule - Breast, EBM 20ml, bottle topups of 30ml for 5 days. I would sleep for one hour express one hour and feed for an hour 24 hours a day. I was so tired I felt as if I was sleep walking. My midwife asked what I wanted to do & I said breast feed my baby so thats what I did. I found a comfy chair, sat down & fed continually so I know what you are going through. You've done it for 15 days so well done. Hang in there & it does get better. My best advice is to feed your baby yourself as much as possible & he will increase your milk supply. Good luck! You can do it.
