after pains

hi guys!

not bin on 4 a while been really busy! evie is doing well and is an angel baby! just a quick ask, have any of you had after pains lasting for a while after your babies? i had a terrible attack of pain today which felt just like after pains and evie is nearly 7weeks now is it normal to have such pain this long after birth? i've never had this before with my others....please help ! x x x

I wouldnt have a clue but speak to you HV midwife of Dr,i would hazzard a guess and say a poss yes as all your muscles,ligiments have been stretched and take a little longer each time to go back.

Hope you feeling a bit bette tho.

Glad to hear you and Evie are doing well.
Sorry to hear your still having the pains.Although after pains are worse the more children you have,I don't think mine have ever gone on as long as that,so I would get it checked.It may be just your body healing,as you've had four close together,that's a lot of months pregnant in a short space of time.It'd be worth checking just to make sure it's all going back together correctly.
Better to be told it's nothing to worry about.Hope you feel better soon.
Can't believe 7 weeks has passed already!

thanks for the replies guys!

spoke to a nurse and she said it is possible that things are still sorting themselves out, had another attack of apin whilst round my mums on easter sunday, it was so bad my husband phoned the out of hours doctor! not had any sinc then though the HV is coming next week so i will mention it to her.
