We've just started a thread about cloth nappies in the 'baby' section of the forum - see here http://www.practicalparenting.co.uk/forums/showthreaded.php?Cat=0&Number=41313.

Kristy there are some great bargains on ebay. I have just started using terries on Hollie, i find them great as they are quick to dry and we dont have a tumble dryer. I got a complete set of nappies, wraps, fleece liners, and nippas for £23.50 including p&p.

Well Kristy, it so happens I ve decided to sell mine that I got the other week. If you want, Ill let you have them for £20 (selling them on ebay for £35).
They are Tommee Tippee cotton bottoms, and there are 12 in total. 4 in newborn, 4 in size 1 and 4 in size 2.
Let me know if you want them. I could post them to you want, or meet you somewhere in the middle.

If the nappies have been used you can't sell them on ebay. Sometimes you can get away with it but often they will remove the listings! It's totally stupid in my opinion as that's how I started out - I bought all my nappies second hand from ebay.
I actually sell cloth nappies if anyone wants any, let me know.

They are brand new still in the packaging, I got them a few weeks ago in a bundle off Ebay that had loads of bottles and an electric stereliser.
Really dont think I'll use them.

What kind are they? Why don't you think you'll use them? I've got lots of gorgeous pics of my daughter in her nappies. I'll try and find them out and post them!

They are tommee tippee cotton bottoms, they have velcro fasteners like disposables.
TBH I will find disposables easier, as I have a disabled child who will still be in nappies and a new born, so its the quickness factor, especially in the early baby days.

I think you'll be surprised how easy they are to use then you get into the swing. They will save you a fortune and are so much better for the environment. You could use them on both children. I don't like applix (velcro) fastening though - I much prefer poppers. The applix used to scratch Isobel's legs and didn't always stay on as well.
Some nappies are nicer/easier to use than others.
Have a look here www.babykind.co.uk - I'm an agent for them. They sell everything you could ever need and have loads of really good tips and advice.

aw thanks for the offer guys, don't get on with the tommie tippie cotton bottoms tbh, i have a few and i used them to stuff my pocket nappys as boosters. got a set of terrys to, but i'm trying to get ones that ray can use with easy. he's a man after all lol.
i'm keen on bambozzles and little lambs at the mo, tots bots are ok but a very poor fit on nicole, i had to cut mine a little to make them fit her better.
tried so many different types if you want any info on it from my point of view?
welshdragon how old was holly when you stopped using the terry's? i found terrys really hard to use on a older baby, great for new borns thou. not sure if it was just me or not.

Yes, my thought exactly. Daniel is really into the toilet at the moment, so dirty nappies are not ideal to leave lying around.

Oh gosh no never leave dirty nappies lying around. You need a good nappy bucket with a screw lid like mine (£1.99 from wilkos lol) and keep it well away from little hands!

ah maybe she has a different way of using them to me. nicole gets them off her in about 5 mins flat lol, on a new baby i can do a great fold and there a great fit, but the fold for nicoles age just doesn't work for us.
btw i don't like the mother care ones, there a not as good as others you can buy at the same price.

Kristy we have only been using terries for a few weeks, before that we used disposables. I find them easier to piut on Hollie when she wriggles as the fold over tighter and you dont have to make sure the tabs are pulled out like disposables. We use a nippa too which makes things heaps easier and although i have a couple of velcro waterproof pants, i find the cheap elastic plastic pants better as they can be put on when she is crawling away. And they are thinner so lessen the bulkiness.
She is a small baby though, so we dont have the problem of the elastic rubbing on her legs like some babies have.

Well you bought some so you were obviously thinking about it which was why I was trying to 'encourage' you rather than 'convert' you

might be cos she's a little smaller then? nicoles a big girl and to bloody smart, she gets every nappy off i've tried, thing is i think she may be close to potty training to, she's telling me if she needs a wee and has had a few wee's on the potty and also tell's me when she's pooed, but she does say she's pooed if she's very wet to so not sure?
