As a child we did, thats why l carried it on when l had my children. My eldest daughter who married 12mths ago as just brought hers for this year!! A lovely silver and blue star. Hope when her time comes to have a family she will carry it on as well. Lovely too put the tree up and everyone say who got what and children remember better than me half the time haha.

it started with my mum and auntie doing it like that, and my grandma does it now, my mum always likes hers to have a meaning, It was so nice last year she got us litte bells that had mummy daddy and jack wrote on them!!! i dont even want to count mine i have so many and now its started for jack and the new baby, last year we had a 7ft real tree and filled it! we may need a new house just for the tree if we continue this way as for jack i buy one so does his grandma and great grandma and my aunt!! but its so lovely when your older to look back xx

Ohh i was just thinking that mel when i read your post what a great idea

We don't just decorate the tree though we do all the walls in the living room! We have several of those lights you hang outside but we wantt he kids to enjoy them do they go inside! We have a santa in his sleigh and loads of others! Gillan also wraps a rope light around the walls!!!!
