Hi everyone,
Just wondered at what age you lo's stopped their daytime nap?

Tate had been waking in the night he was easily resettled with a story and tucked back in, but you don't really want to be doing that everynight at 2 or 3am!!! So over the weekend he didnt have his usual 12.30-2.30 lunchtime nap. And slept ALL NIGHT.

Today he had a nap as was exhausted after nursery, tonight he has got up 3 times! He usually goes to bed great. He's now 2yrs 4months is it time he stayed up all day?? I just think he will be very grumpy and overtired by tea time? Any tips/suggestions etc??

Im going to miss my 2hr lunchtime break if he stops to be honest!

well isabels only a month or so younger then tate and i've recently had to cut her nap time back from 2hrs to 1hr max! i always find it works best if isabel has her sleep just before or just after lunch. then there's still the afternoon to take them out and about and use up their energy!
dont know what time he goes to nursery but would it be poss to get him to have a morning nap instead??

Im not sure if he would go in the morning. I might try cutting back the nap to an hour but that might not be enough for him and he wakes really grumpy some days if not had enough sleep sometimes worse than if he had had no nap! Its a nightmare. I can't hear any little footsteps along the landing so I hope he's gone off now!!

If I let tate decide I dont' think he would offer to go for his nap. I think Im going to skip it tomorrow as he took an hour to go to bed tonight, and he is never like that. I was exhausted not used to going up and down the stairs and reading the same story 4 times over!! If he wakes in the night as well then def nap will be off tomorrow! Will let you know how he goes!

Hi Nicloa, I find it's a bit up and down still with Jake. If he has woken up early and had a sleep at lunch time then we can play and go to park in the afternoon. If he's not asleep by 1.30pm then it's a bit late because i find it hard to wake him and he'll sleep for 2 hours. Today he hasn't had a daytime sleep and fell asleep by 6pm. He is usually in bed by 8pm. He usually sleeps the same at night regardless of naps. Sometimes i find it better to keep going in the day, at least you then have the evenings on your own and i can come on here!
lol. xx

well he was late to bed tonight as we were out. He still got up just before 9pm and had to read another story. he's asleep now though. If he naps again in his buggy I will only let him have a short one. I thought the park would tire him out. I think it has now finally!
