Hello!
As most of you know I had a C Section nearly 6 weeks ago now, today I have been getting period pain type stomach cramps. Can anyone tell me how soon after a C section I can expect my first period? I am not breastfeeding so I guess I should get a period sooner rather than later. I have my 6 week check up tomorrow so will quiz the Doc, oh she will be pleased!!!!

Can't wait till tomorrow as I can drive again. Watch out Lincolnshire I am hitting the roads...... :-)

Hiya Caroline

If you think about it they prescribe the pill at 6 weeks so it makes sense that you can be ovulating aroound that time.

Has your scar eased up from the other night now?

hope you thoroughly enjoy your drive tomorrow, i know you've been desparate for it!!!!

My scar is feeling fine thanks. I'd not really thought about it that way, I guess the doc will be asking about contraception tomorrow. Now that I know I am mega fertile I guess I ought to think about it!

Bronwyn has had another unsettled day. Thankfully she is snoozing now but she has only slept for 20 mins maximum fr most of the day and 75 mins when we went for a walk.

How's Amber doing?

I so can't wait to drive! Bronwyn and I took a stroll into town today to Lidl for footrpint kits. As its half term and I live in a seaside town we have lots of "last minute" tourists getting their cheap holiday at the local Haven! What a nghtmare!!! They are rude and ignorant and expect me to push the pram and baby on the road so that they can walk on the path in gangs. Needless to say I didn't and then got slagged off for taking up the pavement!!!! Then in the co-op a woman 2 in front of me in the check out queue had 2 items, suddenly her entire family showed up, all with a basket each and joined her in the queue!!!! Flipping cheek!!!
AARRGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Sorry for the rant but I needed to get that off my chest!
If I am not online this week I have been arrested for running tourists over once I can drive!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe some people, they can be sooooooooo rude!!

I got Jessica hand and foot print put on a plaque when i went away, i think its a lovely memory. Might pop to lidl tomorrow and get the footprint kit.

I hope Bronwyn is ok!

Yes the doctor will ask you about contraception i had the Mirena coil this time as Amber's here as a result of the pill!!! Not that i would ever change that of course!

Sorry Bronwyns not slept so great today does she let you put her down when she's awake? If not i really reccomend one of those electric swings they saved me from insanity in ambers first few weeks so much so that i let her sleep in it at night for a while just so i could catch up!!!

Take care xxx

Bronwyn is fine thanks, sleeping properly for the first time today. She is a little unsettled at the mo. Jessica is a real cutie, not long till her first birthday!

I am going to do the clay prints tomorrow and I have some inkless wipes to do prints on canvas too. I can see tomorrow ending up being a messy day!!!! I am using them as Christmas presents for the Grandparents as money will be tight this year due to my drop in wages with maternity pay.

Hi Caroline,

I know where you are coming from. As I don't have my own car if i want to go out while my husband's at work i have to walk and i get pedestrian rage! If I make way for someone and they blank me then i say..." Thanks for that, your welcome, no problem" It really annoys me as manners cost nothing. I live near quite a few elderly people who have scooters. I make way for them and the majority of them are quite shocked and say thank you to me like it's a rarity.

Anyway, i've gone off the subject so i hope you get on ok tomorrow and remember it's not a computer game you don't get 10 points for knocking down a pedestrian!!!

I can't believe she will be a year, i don't know where this year has gone!
I will defenitly get a print sent as i never thought to use them as christmas prezzies!

Lets hope Bronwyn has a good night.

Hi Zoe
I am glad that I am not the only one who feels like this! I find that here, those scooters with elderly people are nearly as bad as the tourists. They drive in groups, like a convoy! One group were sat around chatting on their scooters blocking the entire path (which was wide) and when I asked them to let me past they just glared at me. I asked again, very politely, and eventually they grudgingly moved slightly to let me through!!!!! I had the same experience with a group of smokers, which didn't please me as I had to breath in their smoke and poor Bronwyn must have had a lungfull too.

I want more than 10 points per pedestrain!!!! Besides, its not pedestrains I have a problem with. Its the tourists. They walk out in front of the car and expect you to stop for them. What really bugs me is when they push a buggy out onto the road!!!!!!!!!
I think I have PMT as I can feel my stress levels rising!!!! Oh dear!

Hi Caroline,

As it's one of my pet hates i have drummed it into Jack and Charlotte's getting it to now. No matter where we go Jack say's please and thank you to people. I overheard a couple once say how nice it was to hear a young child with manners and not being promted by a parent.

Ok 10 points wasn't enough, how about 100 per tourist and bonus points for a group in one shot!!! Only joking, they are afterall bringing money to the area and keeping people in jobs. I do think we might be on the same wave length though!!

Hi Zoe!
Manners cost nothing! And being polite and treating others how you would like to be treated is common curtesy. Maybe I am just old fahioned!

I would estimate that 50% of the jobs round here are seasonal and in tourism so I know we need tourists. I just wish they would have a little more respect for us locals!! Call me a snob, but the class of tourists (generally speaking) that we get round here aren't the best! I know I can't tar them all with the same brush but if you witnessed it I am sure you would agree!!!!

I agree, we do sound like we are on the same wave length! :-)

I don't know what part of Lincolnshire you are from but we go to Skeg and the surrounding area alot. You are not being snobby I know exactly where you are coming from. It doesn't stop us going though.

I am in Mablethorpe. I know Skeg pretty well, try to avoid doing my food shopping there during tourist season though as it gets too busy!

We didn't make it into Mablethorpe this year, (we stay at Chapel ) we got as far as Sutton and it was carnival so we stayed there for the afternoon. We have noticed over the last few years that it isn't as busy as it was when we first used to go about 10 years ago, but the queue's into Skeg can still be hurrendous.

I always used to drive to Skeg after school on a friday to get my food shopping but gave up as Morrisons was always a nightmare! There is only so much you can put up with. One shop sticks in my mind as a family of about 10 were shopping for their weeks supplies and seemed to be everywhere i went. That would have been fine except the dad pushed the trolley whilst the others scattered and collected stuff whilst shouting instructions at each other. It drove me nuts!
The queue outside Butlins is always a nightmare!

Anyway, I am heading off for a snack before my little angel wakes up wanting her bottle before bed!
Nice chatting to you!
Bye for now
xx
