Sarah we dont want to move as our flat i huge,our bedroom is bigger than a double and rileys is a double,the problem is we are on the 2nd floor and hubby suffers with his back and when it kicks in he just about manages the stairs so on medical grounds have to get a gf or house.

We are with the council and bid every 2wks and have only ever viewed 1 place which was so tiny you coldnt swing a cat round.

well will keep my fingers crossed you find something, we are trying to find somewhere that needs doing up as i love a bit of diy and then hopefully it'll be cheaper. Babies take up so much room don't they!

I know what you mean - we lived in a 1 bed flat when Hayden was born and we finally sold and bought our house 10 months later..our bedroom was bearly double size..we fit our bed and his cot in..just!!!I cannot remember how we fit everything in, we hvae a 3 bed house now with consevatory room and it is FULL of baby stuff and toys!!!!!!
I'm just glad i can hide most of it upstairs.......;)

thanks for the post tasha.

Emma, i hadnt really said anything, we were just waiting and seeing how it all went. we were on the bidding system like you. this is the first one we've been offered, so we are thrilled. we have the keys now, and my fab dad is going to try and get over from ireland next week to help decorate. every room needs decorating, BIG TIME!! I really hope your time comes soon Emma.fingers crossed.

it will be a busy few weeks, but will try and catch up with the posts. thanks again for the good wishes.

Its nice to know someone deserving getting a place Kas. Im sure you will make it lovely. I've been on the list for about 5yrs!!! I will never have enough points unless we are homeless basically.

blimey, thats a long time. apparently, our system used to be on points but isnt any longer, you are put in a band 1-4. we were in one of the lowest so were shocked to have had an offer. i did feel bad at first as i thought there were people more needy, but to be honest, i know of a few people in this area who have lied and scammed there way into a house, so after hearing that, i didnt feel so bad. i really hope it happens for you soon.

Hi Kas thats great news,happy painting.

Ours in bands a-d a being homless,we are band b nxt pirority and have been at this stage for 18mths now and have just got to 5thf place realy,we realy are no fussed if its a house flat or maisonette but its tough when one week we are 3dr on the list then the following bid we end up 5th coz people in front of us didnt bid in the previous week if you no what i mean.

Anywho our tie will come soon enough,sooner rather than later as adi had his MRI scan nxt wed so we will no if his having the full op and when.

i know how frustrating that is emma. we used to be 30th in line and then one week we got to first, but didn even make it to the shortlist. as that only included the people who bid online, didnt include people who text, phoned, wrote etc etc. so next time we got first place, we didnt get our hopes up again and again. but we got there. hope you do too hun, its very frustrating.
