Holiday Buggies!

Hi, we're thinking about going on holiday with our 21 month old son, Harry and I am unsure what to do about a pushchair. We currently have a Bugaboo and that's not at all practical for an aeroplane but I remember seeing an advert in the last edition of PP for a buggy that was £99 and folded down really small - can anyone remember what it was OR recommend anything?

I looked through the las two isue of the mag and only found a buggy by kiki for 59.99,but if you dont mind cheap and sparing then places like ethal austins and wilkinsons sell umbrella buggies for around 25 pound,i only no as i was checking for when we took riley away but never got round to it,if not mothercare do a buggy with 3positions seat for around 30pound.

We bought a cheap one for £18 thinking it would be great round the airport but it didn't recline and we were delayed going and coming home. ds had nowhere to sleep!!

How about a Maclaren Triumph, its lightweight, the seat reclines, has a hood, comes with a raincover, has a basket for bits & peices, folds quite small and has a carry strap.I think it costs around £50.

Hi - hope I'm not too late to help you. We have a Quinny Zapp and have taken it as far afield as Bali and swear by it. It folds really small, has a great carry bag and fits in overhead lockers on planes as it is not much larger than any other bag that people take on. You may find some airlines insist on you putting it in the hold but with the carry bag nothing sticks out to break and you will always find it on a carousel, unlike a Maclaren! Some are OK and let you take it on board, depends if the luggage tag is visible... It doesn't recline, but neither does the average car seat and we have not had any problems with our son sleeping in it, a neck brace can double as a toy and will fit in the bag for transportation. It folds so small it is perfect for bus, train, even hiding under the table at restaurants. Have a great holiday, or hope you enjoyed it if you have already been!
