Going on holiday in a few weeks time with my 20 month old.

First time to greece for her and not sure how she will be on the flight, cope with the hot weather and also how she will eat.

Any advice?

Hi Sharon,
I am Pauline I have a daughter age'd 9 and a son age'd 7, ttc number 3.
I have never been to Greece but if is anything like Spain/Majorca, lots of the restaurants will have childrens menus with things like pasta, rice, chips, sausages etc. As long as your little one is ok with food like this it should be fine.
Lots of high factor suncream, wide brimmed hat and lots of fluids. In Majorca saw a couple of people with small beach tents, just big enough to sit in, encase the sun gets too much. They also sell the all in one swim suits with added sun protection.
For the flight some small toys maybe a couple of new ones that your little one has not seen before if you can stretch to that or something they haven't played with in a while so it is a bit of a novelty.
Hope this helps.

Just been to gran canaria with our one year old,she was fab,we had no probs on flight,I tired isabelle out in the departure lounge and by the time we boarded the plane she was so exhausted she had her milk and fell asleep on me before the plane took off!! she didint wake up for 2hours and then we only had 2hrs to go before we got there,we just entertained her with books and toys. take a blanket on the plane for her as the air con can make it quite chilly.Another tip..if u need to change babys nappy on plane stay well clear of the doors if there is someone in the loo before you,it was so cramped and i had to keep moving out the way for the air hostesess and poor isabelle got a clout round the head with the door!try and time it so there is no-one there, not easy I know! Food was easy as we went full board and she ate whatever we ate and more!!she has never eaten so much! Take plenty of factor 50.Another thing we could not have done without was the outlook shade a babe!dunno if u have heard of it-a universal sunshade and mozzy net to fit most 3wheeled strollers/p/chairs(they do 4wheel ones aswell)got mine off ebay!about£20.also very handy for evenings out when she dropped off happily in her pram as it was nice and dark! We had no probs with heat she didnt seem to mind, just slept her in a vest and a sheet.Temps were up in the 30's!! We also took a poncho towel for keeping her warm inbetween swimming and naps. sorry if I have waffled on but i hope this helps you and have great holiday xx
