Yahoooooooo!!!!

I know i may well be jinxing us but it's been nearly 2 weeks on the pears now and Amber is showing absolutely no signs of a reaction!!! I'm going to phone the dietitan for a chat on monday and i think she'll say to try Amber on potato too so we may well be back on track and my clever litle girl may well have avoided an operation!!

That would mean that it was definately the soya milk she was intolerant to and not the pear, Fantastic!!!!

Thats brilliant. Apparently half of people who are allergic to cows milk are also allergic to soya milk. Luckily neither Ethan or Zoe are. Will she be able to have rice milk or something similar?

Well, looks like i was wrong

Amber became very poorly for 2 hours during the night then this morning her dirty nappy was definately not normal. This happened last week but i past it off as a bug and kept her off pear for a couple of days. It was exactly the same symptoms last night and included rapid breathing so a HV advised me to contact the hospital day.

As usual no dieticians or consultants were available so i was put through to the childrens ward they were very helpful but insistant that she comes off the pear as it affecting her breathing. A doctor will be calling us back and i was told that they will probably see us in the next couple of days. Will keep you all posted.
