the osteopath suggested moving Isaac's cot into his own room to stop him looking for us in the night. will this work or will it just cause more screaming?

We had riley in our room for a year as he never realy had his own room but found that when he did go in his own room if you give him something to snuggle up with like the top you or OH had been wearing that day will help to settle him.

I did this with chan when she was here and it did help as we had her with us till she was 4mths then put her in with riley.

You might get screaming for a few nights but its trial and error, all kids are different and will settle different. When you start tho stick to it,even if i gets hard keep on as it will pay off,you just have to find the right way for all of you.

We need to move Luka too. He's right next to our bed, but im afraid he will wake Tate as he will have to go in with him. Let us know what you decide? You could always try the travel cot first?

I moved Bronwyn into her cot in her own room when she was about 3 months, i expected a battle but she adapted instantly.

You may be surprised!!

I keep saying we must do it. I think Terry can't be bothered to take it down and put it up again. Bless.

Hi Claire

I think it might be hard for a few days but Issac should be ok there on if you stick with it

Ambers still in a cot in our room due to all her problems making her porly for so long, it's made me really paranoid and i prefer to have her near me but it's something i must do soon or i think it may be too late

Nicola you need a lock up like me,as we are on the 2nd floor i didnt want to lug a buggy up let alone the double when we had it.
Its built into the flats, inside and every one has their own,we were lucky to get the slightly bigger one and have shelves 2 bikes and the buggy, hanging from another wall, and tons more stuff we dont use at the mo.

would the room change be a good time to wean him off his night feeds? or would it be best to keep going with them until hes settled? i dont think he has them because hes hungry (you should see what he gets through in a day!) i think its a comfort thing

bless him, I bet he's been so miserable, Im sure he will quicky improve now as you know whats up and so you will relax. Im sure it is a comfort thing. I was comfort feeding luka a couple of months ago when he was teething bad and it worked to get him back to sleep. He still wakes now and has a grizzle every night almost. I would just see what happens leave him for a few minutes and he might go back off? xxx
