Hi girls,
Im planning a trip here on Sunday as it is only 45mins by train and just wanted to know if anyone had been? I am thinking of buying either the luna (read mixed reviews so want to see it for myself) or ziko frankie buggy so just wanted to see them first as they are both quite exp.

Hope you have all had good days!

oh I know! I probably won't get one as they are expensive and can't really justify it. But terry's got some making up to do so I said he can take me to mamas and papas for a day out! His idea of hell! But tate will love going up on the train!

Would you be able to take some piccies while you're there?

I wasn't going to get a pushchair for a while but I keep seeing really cool ones everywhere I go - I don't know what all the names are though!

I normally look on kiddicare.com as they are quite cheap but they don't do m&p here are the ones im going to look at!

and
http://www.mamasandpapas.co.uk/product-101595900/type-i/

I think this one is a bit overpriced though as essentially its just a buggy! I might just get enough of a fix by going into the store its supposed to be really love as its there 'flagship' and i've wanted to go for ages!

Hi Nicola,
I have been and I really like the store. I bought there my ziko herbie 3 weeks ago. I also liked the luna, but i wanted my baby to be able to face me so thats why i chose ziko herbie. The staff in the store is very helpful and can give you great advice.

Thanks for that Miriam I have read some reviews about the harness on the luna (which seems to be the same on all m&p pushchairs. Being 'unsafe' as it only attaches at waist level to the pushchair. I would love a puschair that faces mummy they always seem to be the more expensive ones though don't they! Im looking forward to going so they can demonstrate the harness to me and hopefully actually sit Luka in one and see what he's like. I hope I manage to control myself in there!!

oh lovely, great idea, we wouldn't buy it in the shop anyway as hassle of getting it home. We are only taking the single buggy as I think a double will be a bit ambitious in the West End! So tate will enjoy going on the tube as well.

Hi - haven't been in this one yet, but it is new so should be all shiny and clean. Have fun, I like going in my local store, but it does seem very quiet and not at all like a shop to do with children... My buggy is an M&P and I can't see the point in replacing it: if it breaks, it is getting on a bit now, then maybe I will, but it served my son well and seems to be fine for my daughter. Does creak a bit now, mind.

Hi everyone! Im back!!! And really disappointed with the store!

It was small and cramped and not many pushchairs on display I was quite surprised, not very impressed at all. But having said that they did have the luna, I had a quick look at it, I still love it and want it, although there was no one free to show me how the harness works. Anyone out there who has an m&p pram do you have a problem with the 'free harness' as its only attached at the waist i've read some negative reviews about its safety but having bought other m&p products im surprised as there quality is good.

Anyway the cafe wasnt child friendly at all, they did bring over a lovely new highchair for luka and made a fuss of the kids, the table tops were glass so we had to keep watching tate as he was just at the right level to knock his eye out when he was walking round! The food was yummy but expensive, but my brother turned up and paid!!! The highlight afterwards was going to Hamleys and my brother spoilt the boys rotten so all was well. Tate loved going on the underground (just like underground ernie), just brought home two v.grumpy and tired boys who are both in bed already!

Hope you have had good days??

Nicola, Oh, what a let down!! You were so excited about visiting that store too! The M&P at Meadowhall in Sheffield and the one at Southampton are fantastic!

I have a M&P ultima 8 in 1 which has that harness and its a pain in the backside! Bronwyn, at 7 months, has figured how to get 1 arm out!!!! They tend to slip down their arms, and that is with it threaded through the cosy toes.

I bet the boys loved being spoiled! No doubt your brother enjoyed it too!!!

Well it sounds like you've had a good day overall
Shame the store wasn't up to much you'd think being in London it would be the best one, i quite like our local one.
Glad you got to see your brother and had a fun day

Oh by the way what did you think of Hamleys as Em j's planning a tripto London and wants to take the kids there?! xxx

OMG have you never been to Hamleys!!! It is a childs paradise! It is huge! They have about 5 or 6 floors every childs dream come true. All their tows are usually about a pound or two dearer than you would find elsewhere (having said that the train tate got was £5.99 same as anywhere else) but it is such a great experience. Emma might not get out with very much money left thats all I can say and you could easily spend an hour in there. Fab, Fab, Fab is all I can say!

ps Im going to bid on a Luna pushchair on ebay, never bidded before!!! Fingers crossed!

Sorry to hear the store was a bit of a disappointment - I get annoyed when there aren't enough staff to answer questions/demonstrate - especially when you're looking at spending quite a lot of money.

Hamleys is always great - I think hubby and I had more fun in there on our own that with the kids - we still spent plenty though!
