Hi, how old are your 2? I am used to having to entertain my nieces and godsons and they enjoy the following.
What about making Halloween masks out of paper plates?
or blow up a balloon and cover it with paper mache, let it dry and make legs from toilet roll tubes and create animals, pigs work well. Then they can paint their creations!
You could get them to make some christmas cards.
Make a list of things and get them to do a treasure hunt. We did this in the local park collecting conkers, acorn, feathers, leave etc and then we made a picture out of our bits and pieces.
I hope these ideas are useful!

They are really good ideas Caroline. Jack loves anything like that, painting and baking too especially now he's at school he misses that time we had together.

Why not get a pumpkin and carve a face together. Or make some biscuits in different shapes and decorate them, kids love things like that.

If you don't want to be in all week why not work towards a big treat at the end of the week for being good. Not sure were you live so a trip to the zoo, swimming baths, somewhere local with an adventure playground. Hope these are helpful.

I'm going to do pumpkin carving with my daughter. I collect thick waxy leaves and do leaf rubbing in lovely autumnal colours. Most museums are free and our locl museum actually puts on things for children. Keep all your boxes and toilet rolls for the week and with a roll of selotape make a big robot! Collect pinecones and make hedgehogs out of them be sticking on a small cone shaped head to one end!

Baking is always a good one to do to keep them busy. Next week Ethan and i are going to make a halloween jelly too layer different colours and add spooky jelly sweets!

Check your local library they sometimes have events on for children xx

Thank you so much for all your wonderful ideas. I have lots of things to do now. The kids are screaming to see Nancy Drew next week so that will be their end of week treat.
Then it will be time soon to start preparing for halloween costumes.
Really love your treasure hunt idea caroline I am thinking of one to plan already.

Anna ;-)

Just remembered when i used to run an out of school club, we made a ghost cakes one halloween.
They're very simple to make, use one mini chocolate roll and cover with roll out white icing (try to drape it to look ghostly) then use icing pens to draw on a face!
