We were lucky enough to have tickets to see The Olympic Torch pass through the Museum yesterday. In fact we saw it come in and go out again and it was brilliant! There was a fantastic party atmosphere and I thought it was well organised. There were opportunities to have photos with other runners and their Torches too, which was really special particularly for the children. We really did feel like we were part of history.
It was our first visit to the Museum itself too, as I'd been put off by the ticket prices, and I'm not sure I could afford it in the future (it was free yesterday!) but I'd definitely try as it's very impressive. The fact it's our local history and on our doorstep is a real bonus. Just make the day of it, if you do go, and see and experience everything you can.
