Overall I like what I see, but I have to admit, I don't really see anything any different to any of the other pregnancy/parenting websites around. As an example, if you go to the thebabywebsite website, I'm pretty sure they have exactly the same "latest news and gossip" on the side of their forum pages, pretty much in the same order (I was on there earlier so that was why I noticed !!) As you're all trying to recruit the same members, I think you need to make yourselves stand out more and be different from the others.

Apart from that, it's looking good so far though !

I have to agree with cheryl59!  Your site looks lovely but there isn't much different from other sites of the same nature.  I like the idea of reviews in particular but some of the products I own are not on the list...how do I contribute that?

I really appreciate the opportunity to get a "sneak peek" though...thanks for the preview.  I will recommend the site to others for sure.  Can you let us know when you go "live"?

I also agree with what has been said above, but for the life of me I cant think of any suggestions for something different to make it stand out, I will carry on thinking, could take me a while though with my mummy mush brain syndrome I now have

But over all its looking a great site and I will definitely be using it regularly

Thanks for all your comments. One of the ways that we're aiming to make MadeForMums really different is with our reviews section. We're offering really rigorous, independent reviews, carried out by journalists who are mums and mums-to-be and so are testing the bits that really need testing, and are asking the right questions.

We also make sure all of our products have been rigorously tested by both mums and their tots. So we won't only look at how many accessories or features a product comes with, we'll tell you how easy or fiddly it is to strap a wriggly toddler into a car seat or how comfy a baby finds a particular highchair.

It's obviously really early days for us, so we're planning to add lots of new reviews every week, plus we hope lots of you will be adding your own user reviews so we get a range of opinions and experiences. The reviews section will also grow with expert buyers' guides, and group tests.

The great thing is that we have some brilliant journos writing for us and working with us, as MadeForMums is put together by the same people behind Practical Parenting and Junior.

And Kari, for the products we haven't reviewed yet, let us know. Our MadeForMums promise is that if it's still in the shops, we'll try our best to get it reviewed. So send me an email at susie@madeformums.com.
