We have been married 10years in September and I'm thinking of something we can do/go to celebrate. I was hoping to do a cruise but we have had work done on the house so can't really afford it now. So it will probably have to be something in this country or maybe a mini cruise?? We would want to take the boys with us too, so it won't be a romantic break :-)
any ideas? What would you/have you done for yours?

A mini cruise sounds like a good idea.
A long weekend city break - Italy, Barcelona, Madrid, Paris, Dublin?
A cottage somewhere in this country - the Lakes or somewhere like that?
A nice spa hotel somewhere in this country without the kids?
We got married at the end of July so for our 10yr anniversary we will be going on a 2 week summer holiday. I'm thinking maybe Cyprus as we wanted to go there for our honeymoon but it was too expensive at the time and we couldn't afford it.

It's our 10year in September too. We were planning a holiday to Mexico to renew our wedding vows, not sure if that's still on the cards or not. Otherwise a trip to NY for just the two of us.

How about a narrow boat holiday (my absolutel favourite type of holiday)?
I like SW's ideas. A uk cottage holiday sounds lovely... Or a theme park weekend and then drop the tired kids with a sitter and have a day and night in a romantic hotel just the 2 of you with some champagne :)

Some great ideas, thank you! We have been to New York twice, Las Vegas twice (I did Vegas for my hen weekend and then went with H for my 30th) so fancy somewhere different, would love to go to Italy, I think I will look into that and Barcelona too

Italy would be lovely at that time of the year too. Not too hot but still warm and sunny.
My brother and wife took their then three year old to Barcelona - there's quite a lot to do there with little ones such as a zoo plus there's a beach there as well.
I think I've put my foot in it slightly here as its our wedding anniversary this week and I confidently said to H that we weren't going to do presents were we and he went all quiet on me. Which means he's bought me something and I haven't got him anything! Uh oh!
