Is anyone doing the 5:2 diet? I am the most rubbish dieter as I love food far too much. This sounds like it might be do-able though as you eat as normal for 5 days of the week and then restrict yourself to just 500 calories for 2 days of the week. Just wondered whether anyone had done it and how workable it was? Strikes me it would be better to do the fasting days on days I am working in London as it is so easy to get hold of low calorie yummy food then just have miso soup for dinner.
Contemplating booking a holiday which has scared me! I need to loose a stone I reckon by the end of August if I don't want to scare other holiday makers!!!

I think that is the one Beez has done.
I haven't tried it but have heard anecdotaly that it is more effective for men. I think it is worth a try though if it fits in well with your lifestyle.

Great! Those of you that are doing it would you mind telling me what your 500 caloriemdays look like foodwise? Are you finding it is yielding a slow and steady weightloss? Thanks!

Ive lost 3lb,2lb,1lb,1lb so yes slow and steady (have honestly eaten like a pig this week - 2 bday parties didnt help!) Some days I either divide it by having dry cherrios (25g) crackerbread and light cheese triangle for lunch and bowl of soup for dinner & options hot choc. Other days i save all calories until dinner and have an omlette with plenty veg etc and an ice lolly. Water & green tea throught the day x
