Any one have one / tried one?
Are they any good? Worth the £100 price tag?
I really want one but don't know if £100 is worth if for chips!

I want one as well, they are supposed to be fab
The price puts me off as well

Yes it is worth it IMO. I can see a custody battle occurring! They make fab chips, if you normally buy oven chips or chip shop chips, you'll make your money back in no time!

Beez sorry that made me laugh about the custody battle!
Do they make like soggy chips? Or crispy chips?

We rarely eat chips or fry anything so would be a huge waste of money for us.

I think that they make crispy chips.

When I was doing slimming world quite a few ladies had one and swore by them. Apparently you can cook a whole roast dinner in one! I was tempted but H has banned me from buying any more electrical items for the kitchen!

Yes they were talking about them at slimming last night. There is an app for them that has loads of stuff you can do!

Is £100 the cheapest that you have found?
23/01/2013 at 12:01
Yeh in currys at the moment £199 down to £99 I think

Hope you don't mind me crashing in as I haven't posted in quite a while but I had my first experience of an actifry over Christmas and was amazed at how fab the chips were for a teaspoon of oil. They were yummy! I think if you eat chips at home then it's worth it but you might find a good quality second hand one elsewhere? Or amazon?

Ooh I really want one and that is a bargain price, I have WW chips quite a lot

Belle - I'm not a chip eater normally, but they are a calorific as a jacket spud with a sprinkle of cheese.
I tend to do wedges a lot in them with a sprinkle of paprika and / or chilli powder. Yum!
They are bulky items so you do need to bear that in mind for storage.
I love how when it's finished I wait for it to cool, wipe it out and it's done. If I ever have to buy some one a wedding pressie - that's in my top ten.
