Up until yesterday, when C pulled his nappy off and pee'd in the potty, I wouldn't have said he would have been ready for mo ths. So this has come completely out of the blue, and I'm not prepared at all. He didn't do it till 4pm yesterday so we had a wee in the pot and one accident. So 50/50 success rate so far. To aid the process he is getting buttons after every wee or poo in the potty as reward. And new pants today of course!
do you have any tips for me, I know this should be on BT so will cut and paste it there too but most of the folk I know are over here, and I know a fair few of you have been through this once or twice xx

Well done C x
I would just say be relaxed about it. If you are in the house I would recommend keeping him naked from the waist down or just pants on and always leave the potty in sight to remind him to go, also remind him constantly to go if he needs a wee cos if he's playing he may forget.
Good luck x

Well done C!
Like SW says just take it slowly and be relaxed about it. Pants off at home, sit on the potty 20mins or so after eating & drinking - read a book or bit of TV - plenty of praise.
Do you have pull ups for bedtime? I found it best to ditch the nappy altogether when training and used pull ups for bedtime.

We're trying E at the moment, if we're in the house with her we've ditched the nappies, and she's naked from the waist down. If we're out then a nappy goes on. We're trying to be pretty flexible at the moment, she's getting lots of praise if she wees on the potty, and a couple of buttons/smarties.
