Imagine this scenario
Friend 1 loans car seat (Maxi Cosi Infant carrier) to friend 2. Friend 2's baby is now 11 months, friend 1 mentions this to Friend 2 and Friend 2 says, oh no, I was just going to keep it until I decide if I am going to have another baby. Friend 1 is gobsmacked, imagine if they want another baby or are decluttering totally and want rid of things?
WWYD, ask Friend 2 for it back?
It is really cheeky isn't it?

That is sooo rude!! I borrowed a moses basket stand and a car base off the same friend for all my 3 but always gave them back in between each child even though they didn't need to use it. You may want to sell it to make some money, I think you could use that as an excuse for wanting it back or say that you have another friend who wants to borrow it?

It is really rude isn't it? The more I think about it, the more annoyed I am getting. She has my slumber bear as well.

Very rude and cheeky, friend 2 should be offering it back once they've finished with it for their baby, it's not theirs to decide to keep on to it, they haven't been lent it indefinitely! Friend 1 is well within her rights to ask for it back, or offer it to friend 2 to buy if friend 1 is planning to sell it.
Edited as I got my friend numbers the wrong way round [laugh[
that sounds so rude I can only imagine there has been a misunderstanding?
04/03/2013 at 12:58
Not unreasonable, but she is. Soooo rude, I would ask for it back with no explanation.
04/03/2013 at 12:59
I am friend 1 BTW, I was just so taken aback. My sister and H think it's awful, unless Friend2 is already pregnant?
04/03/2013 at 13:03
Even if she was, you can't expect to 'borrow' something for both pregnancies without discussing it with you aka friend1 first!! For all she knows you might be!

Ask for it back and ebay it.
04/03/2013 at 13:11
How rude, an awkward position to have to be in but id have to say ask for it back.
04/03/2013 at 13:34
I would just say you would like them back as you would like to sell or keep for your number 2 if you have one, not unreasonable at all x
Ps I have kept something I borrowed in case I have another but paid the going second hand rate to the owned for it which she was happy with as not having more
04/03/2013 at 13:36
How did you respond when she told you?
04/03/2013 at 13:50
wow, *so* rude. i would never presume that anything i had borrowed is mine to keep for the foreseeable. anything we have borrowed for C, i have always asked if the original owner wants it back, either to hand to someone else or sell themselves. if they've said keep it though, i have (or sold myself :$ - but ONLY because the original owner doesn't want it)
04/03/2013 at 13:53
Well, I was a bit confused, taken aback and kept going on about 5 year carseat lifes haha
04/03/2013 at 14:15
I'd probably leave it because I'm a wimp like that and just not offer anything else out. I would be annoyed thou at the audacity of her
04/03/2013 at 14:20
I;d just ask for it back.
Defo ask for it back cheeky cow. It's not hers. End of.
04/03/2013 at 14:23

04/03/2013 at 14:39
