Where do you put your kids presents, for them to open on Christmas morning? As a kid, My Mum would put them in piles, for each of us. We'd have to find our pile, then we'd dive straight in. This is how I do it for my kids. They each have a pile, then they can get straight in there, opening their gifts.
My friend thought doing it that way, would be chaos in her house. She puts all presents under the tree, then hands them to the kids individually. Nice idea, but I buy too much for it to fit under the tree, plus, it'd take FOREVER. My Mum does the same for them at her house too, they each have a pile on her sofa. Gifts off family and friends go under the tree, and these are handed out, one at a time, after they have opened their pile off us.
Also, when do you and your H open yours? My H and I open ours on Christmas eve usually, so Christmas morning is just for the kids. (plus, I am usually far too excited to wait an extra few hours)

Father Christmas leaves his presents in a pile in the middle of the room and our presents and those off of family and friends go under the tree. I loved nothing more as a kid than waiting and hoping that the big box under the tree had my name on it..
We open our presents at the same time as the kids, when they are handed out.

Well, only usually got one child with us as stepson usually comes on boxing day, but obv his pressies get put out at same time so M doesn't question it. They each have a santa sack with their name on, so whatever fits in that goes in (easier now that stepson is older and wants small expensive things!), anything that doesn't fit goes on the floor in a pile with the santa sack on top. Under the tree is presents from other people and for H and I. H and I open a couple on Xmas eve then the rest after M has opened hers.

When we were little we had ours from my parents in a pillowcase each, plus any extras that didn't fit in piled up with it - we do a similar thing, with a santa sack type thing.
Any other presents from friends or family we get are put under the tree.

I have given up on Santa sacks, they never hold enough. My sisters and I had personalised ones when we were kids, my Mum still uses them (for me anyway)

Santa presents are left for each child in a pile. All other stuff goes under the tree. Once kids open their big piles the ones from under the tree are handed out

Santa presents left in piles, then the presents from famil/friends under the tree. H and I open ours sane time as kids as we say Santa has left ours and L would be questioning why we hadn't opened presents with them iyswim

Big piles in our house - one each and the difference between presents form Santa and presents from us is determined by the wrapping paper. H and I dont really get each other much but will open anything we do at the same time as the kiddies.

We do it like
your friends, pressies all under the tree and my dad wears santa hat and passes them out! Though they don't all fit under the tree, they are usually spread out all over the floor. I just found this piccie and it got me all excited haha

Father Christmas leaves them their special gift in their bedroom. Then downstairs there is a pile of pressies for each child from me. If anyone else has given them a present it goes under the tree.

This is C's pile from a couple of years ago. Now, both boys have half the sofa each, or 1 sofa each. As C has got older, his pile has got smaller (but more expensive ) The presents that are left under the tree are for me and C, off friends and family. (the gaps at the front, are where presents were already given to my friends, off us). We open presents off my Mum, at her house. C (and now J) open theirs first, then the adults open theirs.
Adults don't open theirs while the kids are opening, as we like to watch them, take pics etc.
Reminds me of when I was a kid. My Mum used to say that because there were 3 of us, it was easier for Santa to leave it in piles for us. As we got older, it got to the stage where we'd bring our own presents down from the loft, and sort our own piles of presents out.
Even though C no longer believes in Christmas, he pretends for J's sake, and still likes to have a stocking in his room. Think I will start the stocking next year for J, he still doesn't quite "get it". This year, C has been with me when I have bought some of his gifts. He's seen stuff, and done the old "wow, that's so cool Mum", so I have bought him it, as I know he'll like it.
His pile will be small(ish) this year, as he mainly has DVD's and Xbox games, along with a tablet. Looks more impressive when they're younger, and they have toys in big boxes. J will look like he has shite loads more than C, even though C's probably cost twice as much.

We do the same as AK leave all the kids presents in the living room in a pile and also under the tree, we let them carry on opening them but do make sure they/I have a look on tags to see who brough what
