I'm climbing Ben Nevis in July and just wondered if anyone on here had any advice x

No advice but I got excited because two of my very good friends are climbing Ben Nevis too in July! Is there lots of people doing it?

I did it when I was about 19 with my parents and my brother. All I can remember is that it was harder coming down than going up as I'm not too good with heights and looking downwards made me feel dizzy!
Good luck and hope you have a great day.

Never done Ben Nevis I'm afraid, its something I hope to have the chance to do with my girls when their older.
I love how you've reduced Britain's highest mountain to being a 'hill' in your title tho
Hope you enjoy it

Nftfi - I'm trying to make myself more confident haha
There is about 50 of us doing it for charity on 20th July. I'm sure there will be lots of groups though.
I'm not looking forward to coming back down at all!

Not done Ben Nevis, but have climbed other mountains so this is general advice - sorry if it sounds like I'm being patronising.
Wear good walking boots/shoes you have already worn in.
Take a spare pair of socks in case yours end up wet.
Take water, spare food and some emergency chocolate.
take a hat, for warmth or to keep the sun off.
take first aid kit and suncream,
lots of thin layers are better than a few thick ones
take a waterproof
take a camera for that summit photo!

Thanks raincloud. All good advice. I've ordered walking boots so plan on walking them in over the next weeks.
