Hi I'm new to the forum and to TTC! Wondering if there were any other 35+ year old career women that were TTC for the first time?

i am also 35+ and trying for the first time. have been for a while.
i know it causes no end of stress to have all tell you that the time is limited so ignore them if they try! it will only stress you out more.

Thanks I shall. I haven't told friends and family as they gave up on me providing a grandchild/niece/nephew a while ago - they'd get very excited and put the pressure on! I thought I'd join the chat room as my secrecy also means I don't have any girly friends to confide in ha ha
I'm doing my best to be patient but it is difficult (+ not one of my best virtues) I stopped the mini pill mid October and had a withdrawl bleed mid Nov and a period 16 days ago but still not ovulating. What do you expect after nearly 20 years of contraception I guess?! It is giving me the opportunity to clean up my act and lose a bit of weight, cut down on alcohol and caffine etc

ahh, alcohol...the devil's brew.
fortunately, for me, the grandbaby stress isn't so bad, as my sister is due to have her third any day now. my mom is placated for now. but if it helps, my sister is 38.
i know how it is to be patient, also not one of my strongest traits. i have been off the pill for a few years now, and told there's nothing physically wrong... as far as talking with your friends, it may benefit you to do so. i finally opened the subject with a couple of my girlfriends, and discovered that they had also suffered some difficulities conceiving. but i agree, this site is very good for venting your thoughts.
hold fast, and gather all the information you can, but don't over analyse as you'll drive yourself batty.
