I was a single Mum, for a few years. A teen Mum to boot. (how many teen Mums do we have on MD?)
Brought C up from 17 months on my own. H is away 5 days out of 7, so feel like a single Mum again. (and actually, find it easier on my own)

Oooo you should do a post for teen mums!
I was just thinking as I was driving alomg today that if I arrived on MD brand new I would feel potentially a bit intimidated by being entirely different!

Yeah, I would too. Especially on BT.
My SIL went through pregnancy on her own, and I know she would have felt like the odd one out on here.

Did she choose to have the baby on her own ie preplanned it or did the father decide to not bother being of any use?
It is something I have pondered a lot about recently - about choosing to ahve a baby without a father about on purpose.

He f**ked off when she was pg. He had about 6 other kids, with 6 other women, and had screwed them all over. I think she just wanted another baby TBH. My bro had the snip, but then they split anyway. She met the sperm donor soon after, had a mc, then she got pg on purpose, and wasn't bothered that he wasn't around. My Niece is 6 weeks older than my J, and has never met her Dad.

I used to be! I was on another pg forum at the time and am still friends with some of the ladies I met on there. Some were single at the time but now have partners and some it's vice versa unfortunately. The only thing that did annoy me (unfair I know) was when they started moaning about their husbands. I felt like saying 'shut up don't know how lucky you are'! And now I'm guilty of having but of a moan now and then. I'm still getting used to saying 'we' instead of 'I' three years later.
