While the kids were well out of the way at school today we decided to declutter of the 3 bedrooms. I have decided my daughter is a hoarder, in various drawers I found 12 pencil cases, why would anyone need 12 pencil cases, 8 bags ranging from big to small, all stuffed with sh!te, an apple under her bed, junk in her 3 desk drawers and her top drawer next to her bed, 4 jewellery boxes, empty boxes that have had jewellery in them, shoe boxes and don't get me started on her cupboard. She apparently had a clear out last Thursday when they were off school, yeah right.
The first photo is the rubbish we got from mine and J's room, second photos is from E's room
It feels lovely when I go upstairs, we start on the downstairs tomorrow.

Oh I love a good clearout!
Word to the wise - the girl hoarding only gets worse as she gets older. It's not through being a hoarder its through being lazy and not be arsed to bin anything - the girls room is vile at times. I've gievn up

the second photo! I do love a clear out. I feel like I'm always doing it due to lack of space!

Your right belle, E is so lazy, she would rather shove something in a drawer or under the bed that put it away where it should be. It does feel lovely now and she'll not even know half of the stuff is gone.

I have already had my clear out, as my Mums work place were gathering donations for an orphanage in Kenya. Felt nice to be clearing things out, but helping other kids too. I got rid of 3 bags of J's stuff, and 1 of C's.
C is always chucking stuff out, saves me a lot of time when it comes to blitzing his room.
Can't believe how much you got out of E's room. *thankful I have boys*

Oooo I love a good clear out and tidy up!

Wow that's good tidying!
I may be 'outing' myself as a hoarder here, but how do you sort the stuff? I feel so bad throwing anything away since we're meant to recycle everything. I have a real problem with it. What I end up doing is boxing up all the old toys and putting them in the garage, thinking that I will re-sort them later into sell/charity/bin piles. But the trouble is that I never get round to that bit so my garage is just filling up with boxes of clutter! Argh! I need to hire your services I think!

AK she's a nightmare. Pingu I have to admit we through lots of good stuff out, if we done a car boot we could of made quite a bit but I couldn't be bothered, just wanted them out of the way. We are shocking for not recycling or taking things to the charity shop. About 2yrs ago we sorted the shed out and took a brand new mamas and papas and 2 silver cross dolls pram to the skip cos we couldn't be bothered to sell them or donate them. We are a bane on recycling society.

No clear out here, there's nothing to clear and we are overflowing in toys!! I cannot wait to move!
An apple under the bed?!

Eek that's a lot!!!
I'm due another between good clear out. It is mainly clothing plus my varuous memory boxes. We move soon though and it really can't all come!!

We had a clear out a few weeks ago, I got rid of a load of stuff at a carboot. So the only toys we've got now really are the ones that are played with.

I love a good clear out too! Our garden (4m x 12m) was full of junk from our shed and house a couple of years ago. We spent £140 for a guy to come and take it away, which I didn't mind about considering how many dump runs it would have taken us to do.

I had a tidy up of my daughter's room the other week. It took my half a day to do it on my own. She had scattered necklaces, hair clips, socks, cuddly toys all over the place. Trouble is, she opens boxes and tins to find things, chucks everything out and then doesn't put them back again afterwards. Its worse when her friends come over and start investigating to see what toys she's got. I'm trying to be a bit stricter about it from now on.
We definitely need to have another general clear out of stuff in the rest of the house. And don't get me started on all the stuff in the loft which is hidden clutter.
