One of the many perks of my new job. Family healthcare and dental
Youngest SD needs braces, had a hospital orthodontic appointment yesterday and she is number 61 on the list!
Wondering what the wait times are like for BUPA?
She needs to go under have teeth removed first then braces fitted.

I don't know about bupa but I had braces and 4 teeth out at once for them.. It was not nice! I think they only do that in hospital nowadays though.
Would be good if you can get things done quicker for her!

Poor girl has a severe underbite but the Ortho yesterday hoped that by removing the teeth it should help with the pressure on the jaw. Although can't promisethat at 18 she may need her jaw broken.

Ooh that sounds nasty :( bless her! Hopefully it won't come to that then
I don't currently but my step-dad did. I can remember being told something was going to take months. Then when my step-Dad said he had private healthcare they said when do you want to do it?
BTW I was told I may need my jaw to be broken to sort my jaw out. My upper jaw entirely encompasses my lower jaw but it was eventually decided because I 'looked' normal and I had a 'perfect' bite (ie the teeth fitted together) they wouldn't bother. But since then I have had other jaw problems so that is def least of my worries. BTW there is so much room on my upper jaw that there are gaps between my teeth which make it look like I have teeth missing
Hopefully some hitchers that ahve seen me will confirm I don't look like a freak...

Sorry hope that wasn't worrying.

QI you should know me by now! If she needs extra work doing she eeds extra work doing. No point worrying about it.

I didn't know if you were connecting the dots the way I do and then worrying that she might end up with the jaw problem that I have that can't be fixed.

But if she does what's the point in me worrying about it? It's out of my hands. That's like worrying I might get run over so I beter not leave the house.
Carole it's awesome, health, dental and travel for all the family. Pension, gym, LA / CI, and the lunches!

Usually you get an appointment with BUPA within the next 10 days in my experience. It is surreal!

Yeah we had bupa before just never dental so that is good to know they are quick also.
