On the hunt for some money making ideas I just saw this. Has anyone done it before? It's basically renting out your car per day to someone local. It goes through the WhipCar company so insurance etc is covered through them. Just looked as we have a car sat on our drive for 5 out of 7 days a week. I just looked it up by number plate and location and it can be rented out to earn from £35 a day. The renter pays all costs on top of that and any fines/offences. Would you do this?

Yep i would with Hs car not mine. As long as insurance etc covered. H often loans his car out so being paid would be ace.

Sounds a bit too good to be true!
Whats the benefit to the driver as surely its cheaper to rent from enterprise or similar?

I'll have to have a proper look into it but it was on the MSE website so hoping its a legit thing.
Pip I know you are in London can you rent out a parking space? If you go on Mse apparently you can rent out a parking space to commuters. Also have you changed your mortgage? Go on Mse and look up mortgage exit admin fees. There used to he a few when you changed your mortgage but the Fsa put a stop to it. I'd no idea we paid it so just phoned in the off chance and the Halifax alliance and Leicester and Bradford and bingley are sending me just shirt if £600, was dead easy, worth a shot

Also not sure if its your thing but could you do a nightshift on a Saturday night. You can join agencies for either healthcare or home are and Saturday nights are the best night to do because its double time after midnight, or register for baby sitting??

One of my friends does a middle of the night shift at our local Sainsburys. She goes in at midnight and is home in time for breakfast (I think). She then looks after her 18 month old during the day.

Thanks for all the ideas everyone. I've considered a few, am going through things to eBay today. I've been looking at work as well but it hard to get the balance of what I earn and what I'd pay in childcare for two of them. I'm not sure I could cope with so little sleep on a night shift being that my kids get up at 6am when my H has to leave for work but its something to consider.
Cedar iv been doing 9pm till 5am this week, no childcare Monday or today so I tend to go to play groups and have a million coffees and have some time out the house. Xc
