Ive made a big batch of veg & lentil stew. is it ok to leave in saucepan with cling or do i need to batch it up in containers i dont have?

Yeah that's fine. MIL makes a mammoth pot of stew Friday night and leves with lid on to feed them through till Sunday!

Is it nice? Veg and lentil stew doesn't sound appealing to me, but i presume it must be nice or you wouldn't eat it and save the rest! How do you make it nice?!

I've not actually made as much as i thought so panic over. Bowl in fridge, flask made up for work tomorrow.
ML - i guess you need to like veg and lentils for starters. I used BNS swede onion carrot mixed herbs cumin curry powder chilly flakes covered with water and brought to boil. Simmered adding cauliflower and washed lentils. Et voila.

I've not made many stews and soups etc in the past but trying some slimming world recipes I did a potato and leek soup tonight which is lovely and also did a butternut squash, onion and garlic soup last week that was very yummy too!

See, I'd eat in as stew and then blitz it to have it as soup tomorrow. I LOVE the texture of lentil soup mmmmmmmmmm

I love veg and I guess I prob do like lentils. don't think about them much. May give that a go sounds very healthy/low fat . thanks!

I'd leave it, soup sometimes gets left on our hob for a couple of days before it gets put into containers and moved in to the fridge. Carrot and lentil soup is a fav in our house. I'd never knowinly eaten lentils until recently, and now we use them loads.

If it's only being kept for a day or 2 then I'd leave it in the pot, but any longer than that and I'd put it in containers in the fridge.
