Personally I've never had a problem with Barbie, Sindy or other such dolls. But it's interesting to see

It is. Is it bad to say that I think that I prefer the original?

I like the tattooed Barbie.

I prefer the original. But I think to truly make it a "real" Barbie, they would have to make so many variations, as every womans body is different. Its silly really, its just a doll!

I used to love my Barbie and Sindy dolls when I was growing up. I don't think I ever thought that I was going to grow up to look exactly like that. Any more than I thought all babies had blonde hair and blue eyes like my baby doll.
I have noticed that Barbie has become pinker though - most of her clothes and accessories seem to be pink these days. Whereas I know that - although there was some pink - my Barbie and Sindy dolls had lots of clothes and shoes in different colours.

Can't say I'm massively fussed either way, it's just a doll in my eyes. I can sort of see why people get uptight about it in the same vein as the whole princess thing but I grew up with all that stuff and I certainly didn't sit around waiting for my prince to come and rescue me or think that I was a failure because I didn't look like my doll.

CK I'd look miserable if I was stood next to Barbie
