we are members of a charity that support families who have children with heart conditions. I use the online forums regularly and they send us newsletters etc. I've used the group as a way of linking in with other families who have gone through similar experiences as Luke's condition is quite rare and there aren't any other children in our area with similar needs. A month a go they put a request on the website asking anyone lived near we live to pick up a cheque from a rotary club who had a couple of thousand pounds to donate. I volunteered saying I'd be happy, thinking it would be case of collecting the cheque and saying thank you. It's now snowballed into them booking a side room in a local hotel for tomorrow and arranging for a photo opportunity with a big cheque. Obviously lovely, but I'm starting to feel nervous! Help! what do I wear? I have to take Luke with me as it's in the afternoon, I hope he is a good boy.

I'd go nice skinnes, vest / tee and blazer. You've got that look down to a fine art now lovely!

Thanks for replying. I wasn't sure if I should do the smart skirt/jacket. So smart casual is ok? I hope they don't expect me to say much.

Yeah of course, a blazer smartens things up but I wouldn't go dressy.

How exciting, that's a good amount raised too. I agree with belle on the clothes too.
