I seem to be prone to black heads around my nose and chin, what do you do to get rid of them? Squeezing doesn't work! :(
Also My skin is so so dry, I need a good but reasonable moisturiser. my cheeks have dry patchre and around my nose and forehead. What do you recommend? It can't be anything too pricey £5-10 is my maximum budget.

I get blackheads on my chin and occasionally between my eyebrows. I likie the Neutrogena Blackhead scrub facewash, it's quite cheap! That and a small covering of sudacreme on the nights H is on night shift so he can't see me looking like a ghost, and I'm done! Not the most exciting of skin care routines, but works for me!

I read your question but as I am the least beauty conscious person thought it wasn't worth me answering but I'll tell you my stuff!
Blackheads are where dirt gets into open pores so you need to get the dirt out and encourage the pores to close. I've used a special tool you can get from Boots to squeeze them out. them thoroughly clean the area and then thoroughly moisturise so that goes into the pores before dirt can. There is a Garnier cream you can get that encourages the pores to close and it is good. I used it years ago when I got a lot of blackheads and don't get them anymore.

Thank you both! I will have a look for those QI

QI - I just did a quick search of those removal tools, are they difficult to use?
(sorry for crashing Dolly, my chin and nose are terrible up close!)

Are they large blackheads or small ones? I find a good steam (head over bowl of hot water) then a squeeze of the area helps get rid. But like QI says it's dirt in pores. I use Benefit Refined Finish which is a very mild facial exfoliator. You put onto dry skin, rub then rinse with cold water to close the pores. I have to do this weekly as I tan so much so really need to cleanse my pores of muck.
I then slather on Total Moisture and eye cream.
You can try Vitamin E face cream as a cheap one.

I have lots of tiny little ones on my nose and chin. I can't get a good enough squeeze on the area with my fingers so might give one of these a go. I need a decent facial moisturiser, but with my recent purchases I think I'll opt for a cheap vit E one like you said

I have a blackhead remover from Body Shop which is basically two loops (one bigger than the other). You press it over the skin and the blackhead pops out. Doesn't hurt and leaves no marks (once any redness has settled!).
I also use clearasil daily pads and they have helps my pores to shrink.
