So you lovely lot tell mw about Blackpool. What should we see what should we avoid? Good bars / night spots?
I don't think I'm that fussed on the pleasure beach but want to go up the tower.

It's usually freezing
I haven't been out in Blackpool for years so all the bars have probably changed. The tower is good, although I don't like going to the top.
Don't expect anything much, as its a proper dump but it is a good laugh. Is it this weekend you are going?

yep this Saturday we'll be there. Kellfi told me it was proper rough and not to take anything dressy so just skinny jeans heels and tops. What is there to actually do in the daytime?

When I go, it's usually with kids in tow, so we hit the tourist places - Ripley's, Madame Tussauds etc. We always go to coral Island arcade aswell, it's big, and pure cheese.
go on a donkey ride?

Blackpool is tower, pleasure beach, bars, arcades and the piers. Also cold, wet and windy usually. And there's a Madame tussauds and sealife centre I think. that's basically it!

Madame Tussaud's but the London one better, there is amusements, other than that there's pubs.
Night time wise the illuminations will be on so that's nice to see.
If you have time head to Lythem on the tram its just along the road a MUCH nicer than blackers.
O and dress warm its freezing and torrential rain all week here.
Agree with kellfi, don't take any nice clothes, just skinny jeans will be fine

Oh right, I'll be drinking all day then!
Actually might see if I can get tickets through work for MT.

Blackers is ALWAYS better with alcohol .
Lythem and st Anne's lovely though some nice restaurants and bars there.

My sister is staying in the BIg BLue HOtel which looks close to Lythem on the map...well closer than our hotel anyways. I don't like rain, make it stop please.
21/10/2013 at 12:06
No because if it stopped you wouldn't get a chance to wear one of those plastic rain things they sell, you can get one for your head or a body poncho type one
My ils loved Blackpool! They used to subject the children to weekly visits in the summer when mil was alive, fil took them 3 weeks ago, think they were on one of those flea infested donkeys and were treated to lunch at a service station

No we don't want rain, we go next Thursday, it couldn't be any worse than last year, it chucked it down all day while we were at the fair.
Belle the Big Blue Hotel is right next to the Pleasure beach, quite far up from the tower etc.
I cannot help we went with the kids so our day involved the pleasure beach, candy floss, the pier and KFC
What about a nice walk and a few drinks, dinner somewhere and then an early night!!
