In an attempt to avoid all supermarkets this festive weekend I had my xmas big shop delivered last night. Nappies were on 3 for 2 but they'd substituted my 3 x size 5 for 2 x size 4! Gah! Didn't realise until driver had gone as H brought everything in and i was sorting E out so rang them up and I've got to go instore to exchange them
Then realised this morning that H's sweet chilli peanuts were missing, the ONE snack he'd requested for the festivities! Just had to ring again to get them refunded, all £1.10 of it but that's not the point!

Oh how annoying!! I'm not doing Christmas dinner this year then we are going to my mum's on 27th I think so hardly got any shopping in, it feels weird!
Is your tesco open late? Go late tonight?

Really annoying! I ran in before, staff had all the festive cheer of those forced to work in retail at this time of year
We're having xmas at my parents so it was just our usual stuff with some treats (or not!) but I was down to last two nappies so had to get them. Ah well, done now!

We ordered from Tesco once. Never again. To avoid supermarkets this time of year, I send my H. He is currently in asda, doing our shop (that we don't REALLY need).

We have Tesco either delivered to the house or click and collect every week, and have done for a few years now and hardly had any issues. The ones we have had they've always substituted upwards, or over delivered so we've had duplicates, and if things aren't quite right I always phone up and get money refunded. I really like them!
I realise I've probably totally tempted fate now for when I go to collect my order tomorrow.....

I've used them on and off for 6 years now and we've had every issue going, from the very first time we used them on the day we moved into our house and half of our delivery was stolen from the van by kids on a previous delivery!
We've had a warehouse fire so nothing delivered two days before xmas '09, van freezer malfunction so all frozen stuff ruined, two driver breakdowns and one driver gone off sick. Then many times things have been missed and I've had to ring for a refund and I've lost count of the times people tell me they have had fantastic substitution upgrades but we've never had anything good like that! Must have p'd off the shopping delivery gods atso me stage

I read this so much about the Tesco deliveries! Do you, tick the "don't substitute" box? We do, and find we have a lot less subs / missing items than most.. Perhaps coincidence? But...
Just had ours delivered now, and they've given us an extra bake at home baguette and a Tesco own batter mix instead of the value one... I'll live with that!
Glad you got sorted quickly though, was it mental near you? I was in Tesco last night for snacks, and, it was dead!

It wasn't too busy thankfully and I got the nappies I needed. I used to tick don't substitute but then with all the problems we've had loads of people said tick it and you'll get loads of upgrades! Still waiting...

Either you are very unlucky or we are very lucky. We got a great
deal on our click and collect yesterday - 3 subs and all upgraded or up sized - finest smoked salmon, double number of cadbury's flakes cos it was a bigger pack and big box of croissants instead of the 4 I ordered! I've never clicked the dont substitute box because I'd miss out on the upgrades!
It must depend on the the individual stores as to what level of service you get.

If you email and complain about the inconvenience caused, they should send a voucher to you. I used to complain all the time with online deliveries!
