Has anyone done one of these? There is an offer on my local Groupon and it just piqued my interest! I've never been that comfortable with myself, but having lost some weight I'm feeling much more confident. I wondered if something like this might be a bit of fun and make a good gift for H?

I did it years ago, it was all the rage on wedding planning

How was it? Were you pleased with the pictures?

I am hoping you will be the one having the photoshoot and not your H I've not done one but I would if I lost my muffin top. I'm shooting my first boudoir client next month though. I've seen some absolutely stunning photos from shoots like this, so I'd say if you fancy it then go for it!
Kochanski on H OT recently did one and she looked awesome! Not tacky at all. Iv read of a few doing them and all have been pleased with the results despite how they usually feel about themselves

I did one before the wedding. H did like the photos but I suspect I actually had more fun going and doing it. I'm not confident at all really and normally hate being photographed but they pose you and do the lighting so well that you can't take a bad shot (or at least if there were any I didn't see them). You couldn't tell from the photos that I have a muffin top (well had, pre-pregnancy) or wobbly thighs etc.

What would you do with the photos? I always thought it would be a bit of a waste of money tbh.

yes I remember when I was on WP it was all the rage, loads of girls had them done. Would you be framing them and putting them on your bedroom wall??
19/12/2012 at 14:38
Yes I think we'd put one in the bedroom. I just thought that whilst I'm feeling pretty good about myself it would be nice to try and capture that so in later years I have something to look back and remind myself! The Groupon offer is only £16, which isn't much to lose if it turned out to be rubbish. But likewise being so cheap also makes me wary!

Can you check the company out somehow? I say go for it, your reason is a fab one. I didn't do one as I couldn't see me putting it on the wall in our room for the kids to see but it would have been a nice reminder of my thinner days.

The photographer that owns the company is a member of the SWPP (guess this a good thing, Shhh?) and this is the website www.englishboudoircompany.com. Some of the images in the gallery look great others aren't quite what I'm after, but I guess a decent photographer would listen to me. And like I say' £16 isn't a lot to lose! Hmmmm. Decisions!

I did one as a wedding present to H. He loved it, but as Saisi said it was good for my confidence too. I got 6 prints and made and album for H. I found it to be a really good experiencee, would recommend it!

Yes SWPP is a good litmus test. The owner has won awards and runs training days so is genuine, but it doesn't say on the deal who'd actually be taking your photo on the day. I'd check the price of products afterwards if you can, they vary so much. You might spend £16 on the shoot and free print but post session prices for anything else might be pricey because they'll be looking to make a return on the deal, which is fair enough really.
