C is fine in himself but just as I was walking out the door to preschool I noticed him shivering. I took his temp at its 39.3! He sai he was old and asked for a jumper.
What can I do when he is cold, but actually he is hot???
im not surprised he has this as I've had the same all week....wonder how long it will take little legs to get it as well!

Poor C. I'm guessing you've kept him home? I'd just dose up with calpol and keep and eye on his temperature, and if he's feeling cold then wrap him up. Hope he's feeling better soon x

Hope he is well soon. I'm no expert but I wouldn't wrap my two up if they had a fever. Doctors have always told me to strip them down even if they are hot and only a luke warm bath.
I think unless his temp doesn't come down with the calpol then keep him warm. xx

NHS guide is above. Over here they are super cautious and over medicate so may not be the right advice. Last week a Dr attempted to prescribe M with a nebuliser for a little cough...

Sorry, I didn't mean wrap him up in a blanket, but just let him have the jumper to keep him warm - the NHS does say to keep them comfortable, which I'd take to mean that if they're shivering and feeling cold then taking clothes off would help unless his temp doesn't come down, or starts going up more. xx
They sure do sound very over cautious there WS! x

Hope C is OK sweetie. Don't wrap him up - shivering is the natural way of cooling your body down so his core temp is high he needs to be in a vest and long bottoms or no bottoms and a long sleeve top.
